What You'll Get to Do:    

Oversee all compliance, governance, and sustainability initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting internal ISO 9001 audits, conducting vendor quality audits, managing engineering compliance processes, and implementing sustainability initiatives such as EPEAT and PAIA-- Product Attribute to Impact Algorithm.

The position is also responsible for leading the internal audits for PCONA National Service Facilities and for maintaining the PCONA Quality Management System QMS to promote and ensure the implementation of compliance across the business.

-Identify and lead quality improvements for PCONA Mobility QMS and Compliance programs

-Develop and implement project planning and execution while proactively engaging internal and external stakeholders to achieve desired targets and goals in the areas below.

-Internal and 3rd party vendor quality performance audits

-Engineering compliance processes

-Quality Management System

-Prepare and issue Audit Reports to communicate risks or non-compliances and collaborate with the respective departments for the resolutions and, or corrective actions

-Propose, review and, or implement appropriate Corrective Actions and Preventive Actions or CAPA

-Oversee the coordination with factory, product management, third-party testing partners, and manufacturers to ensure products comply with all regulations and industry standards

-Manage the product hardware retrofits evaluation and execution from the technical standpoint to ensure compliance, performance, and quality

-Obtain and maintain product environmental and technical regulatory certifications required to support business engagements, collaborating with Panasonic Environmental Group Department, Product Management, and the Factory

-Provide records and create the documentation required for the technical and environmental products certification and verification rounds

What You'll Bring:

Education and Experience

-Bachelors degree in scientific or engineering required

-Minimum 5 years of Engineering experience, preferably in Quality, Service, and, or Product Engineering roles

-Working knowledge of electronics environmental and technical regulations

-Ability to demonstrate successful resolution of quality or compliance issues including information gathering, issue reproduction, root cause analysis, and development and acceptance of suitable countermeasures

-Quality auditing certification preferred, ISO Lead auditor is a plus

-Project management certification preferred, PMI PMP is a plus

Problem Solving

-Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

-Strong customer environment assessment capability

-Demonstrate ability to effectively collaborate with others to achieve team goals and expectations

-Strong time management, priority allocation, and task management skills

-Ability to use effective involvement and persuasion strategies to gain commitment to actions

Communications

-Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively and professionally with all organizational levels and management, internally and externally, are required and essential to success in this position, and in PCONA activities, in general

-Strong interpersonal skills to interact with external and internal customers and team members

-Strong presentation skills to present technical and management plans and details to individuals and groups

-Capability in effective communication with internal departments i.e., Factories, Technical Support, PMO, Sales, Product Teams, Spare Parts, Engineering, Order Processing, Accounting, etc.

Other Requirements

-Ability to travel 20 percent of the time, domestically and internationally

-Ability to work independently and as part of a team

 What We Offer:   

The salary range of $90,000 –$105,000 is just one component of Panasonic’s total package. Actual compensation varies depending on the individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives.
