JOB SUMMARY: We’re looking for a Software Engineer to join our WISP Software Development team focusing on providing passengers with exceptional in-flight shopping experience while allowing airlines to offer differentiating payment options. Our solutions require someone with versatile knowledge in multiple domains. If your core strengths include programming in PHP, NodeJS, and TypeScript, and have experience in AWS, POSIX/LINUX platforms and enjoy working as part of an Agile/Scrum team that requires fast learning, please apply! Responsibilities:
- Implements, maintains, and integrates ground-side APIs responsible for Wireless Internet offered on the aircraft
- Creates and maintains various test applications to ensure Continuous Integration & Deployment of APIs via Unit and End-To-End tests
- Creates CI/CDs for SDLC
- Participates in the AWS Migration effort of on-prem applications
- The best effort of making on-prem applications cloud-friendly
- Maintains the developed software efficiently through a solid knowledge of SDLCs
- Writes engineering documents including functional block diagrams, data/logic flow charts, ERM, and UML
- Strong collaborator and consistent transfer of domain knowledge to peers
What We’re Looking For:
Education/Experience Requirements
- 5-10 years of PHP software development experience
- AWS knowledge and experience
- PHPUnit
- Cypress or Selenium is a plus
- Strong API design foundation
- Experience in one of the database technologies such as MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB, or Redis
- Hands-on experience with scripting languages like Bash
- Protocols: TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP
- Experience/knowledge in one of the IoT protocols like MQTT, gRPC, CoAP, RSocket, or AMQP is a plus
- Experience/knowledge of Pub/Sub solutions and Request-Response patterns like Kafka is a plus
- Version control with Git, knowledge of Git flow, and quality control via CRs and MRs
- Experience in developing and deploying applications in AWS
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge and experience in PCI
- Will have specific technical project or product responsibility.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or other related field preferred.
