We are seeking dedicated individuals to join us as full-time, on-site team members at our new, state-of-the-art factory located in the thriving city of DeSoto, Kansas.

As a Senior Business Process Engineer within the Technology Department at Panasonic Energy Corporation of North America, you will lead the charge in optimizing our technology-driven manufacturing processes. Leveraging your expertise in process engineering and production optimization, you will spearhead initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and innovation in our manufacturing operations, driving us towards industry-leading excellence.

Essential Duties:

  • Lead the assessment and optimization of technology-driven manufacturing processes, focusing on efficiency, scalability, and automation.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Technology, Engineering, Operations, and Quality Assurance, to design and implement innovative solutions to streamline workflows and improve production efficiency.
  • Champion the adoption of cutting-edge technologies, such as IoT, AI, machine learning, and robotics, to drive innovation and automation in manufacturing processes.
  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives to optimize equipment utilization, minimize downtime, and reduce cycle times, ensuring maximum throughput and productivity.
  • Establish standardized processes across departments and functions, meticulously documenting procedures to ensure consistency and alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Mentor and coach junior team members, providing guidance on process engineering methodologies, technology integration, and best practices.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in the execution of process improvement projects, from concept development and stakeholder engagement to implementation and performance monitoring.
  • Utilize advanced data analytics techniques to derive actionable insights from production data, identify trends, and drive data-driven decision-making.
  • Establish and maintain robust performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and measure the impact of process improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with Technology and Engineering teams to evaluate and integrate new technologies and manufacturing systems, ensuring seamless integration and compatibility with existing processes.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning within the Technology Department, promoting knowledge sharing and cross-functional teamwork.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements:

To ensure the health and safety in the workplace and for the protection of our employees’, wearing PPE is a possibility and includes equipment such as a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, and a full hazmat suit that includes a respirator.

Qualifications:  Requirements - Required and/or Preferred

Education:

  • Basic/Required:  Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • Preferred: Master’s Degree

Essential Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in process engineering or production engineering within a technology-driven manufacturing environment, with a demonstrated track record of driving process improvement initiatives.
  • Previous professional or experience in Semi-Conductor field.
  • Proven expertise in leveraging technology to optimize manufacturing processes, with a strong understanding of IoT, AI, machine learning, robotics, and automation.
  • Experience with process simulation and modeling software, as well as data analytics tools for deriving insights from production data.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, prioritize tasks, and deliver results within established timelines.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a strategic mindset and a focus on driving tangible business outcomes.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement principles.
  • Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English.
