- Assigns daily work to the warehouse staff based on general instructions from the Manager, Repair Logistics to achieve departmental goals related to receiving, picking, shipping turnaround times and on-time delivery.
- Provides functional training to the work group and serves as focal point for technical or procedural questions from the staff. Ensures high-quality customer service.
- Responsible for receiving and verifying incoming purchase orders; labeling and delivering the parts to stores in Oracle; and picking sales orders and entering the picks into Oracle.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Daily Operational Maintenance
- Oversee receiving, picking and shipping activities.
- Interface with vendors that support the warehouse including the packaging material supplier, office machine repair, freight companies and product suppliers.
- Process all inventory transactions. Research and reconcile inventory inaccuracies.
- Responsible for yearly Cycle Count, reconciliation and reporting.
- Receive materials and process according to verbal or written work instructions.
- Package per ATA300 specifications and/or customer requirements prior to shipping, if applicable.
- Prepare and process Request-to-Ship documents.
- Arrange for product pick-ups in accordance with customer requests.
- Prepare and process both internal and external customer orders which includes packaging, labeling and shipping.
- Receive incoming repair orders.
- Monitor daily shipping and receiving reports in order to prioritize work.
- Assess workload and reports resource constraints to the Supervisor.
- Assume primary responsibility for interdepartmental communication.
- Ensure that all materials are processed per Repair Station and Quality Control Manual.
- Responsible for warehouse cleanliness and safety compliance. Maintains a 5S organization.
- Provide recommendations for overtime and supply purchases, being sensitive to cost containment.
Internal/External Audits and Organizational Support
- Responsible for supporting internal and external audits of departmental processes and procedures.
- Participates in the ISO9000 and ISO14000 quality processes.
- Ensures inventory accuracy and works closely with cycle count coordinator to establish root cause and corrective action for any picking, shipping or receiving errors.
- Perform as back-up for the Logistics Supervisor.
- Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent internationally recognized qualification or recognized technical qualification in electronics or electronics technology with relevant experience and training.
- Must have 3+ years material handling/warehouse experience or 5+ years Avionics Quality Control or Inspection experience
- Experience and knowledgeable level of understanding using Oracle.
- Knowledgeable of warehouse shipping and receiving procedures.
- Knowledgeable with basic math.
- Must have a valid and clean driver's license. (A driving record background check may be performed.)
- Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements and AS9001 requirements is desirable.
- Proficient using MS Office suite of applications.
- A moderate level of problem solving is required to make the determination regarding product compliance with regards to specifications, industry standards, and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Ability to interact with diverse personalities highly desired.
- Ability to manage numerous detailed projects under a great deal of stress.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Extremely well organized, with the ability to track multiple activities involving numerous details.
- Outstanding problem solving skills and good judgment in dealing with competing priorities, limited resources and time pressures.
- Determines methods and procedures on new assignments. May be an informal team leader.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Ability and willingness to work daily and weekend overtime as required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
