Job Summary  Provide management and employees with advice, information, and practical guidance concerning HR issues, including employment relations, recruitment, employee development, and training, along with proactive administration support for all HR functions in a pan-European HR Department. Perform as lead to junior level HR Staff Reps and deal with escalated issues for resolution. Responsible for and/or serves as the HR focal point for all or some of the following functions: Major Responsibilities Regional Operations• Develop and maintain professional working relationships with both internal and external clients to ensure the provision of quality and cost-effective service.• Ensure an end-to-end process for onboarding for all employees is evident and completely documented, paying particular attention to all required new starter paperwork to enable loading into EU payrolls.• Work with the Head of Human Resources for Europe in the maintenance and review of EU Employment policies, procedures, and management guidance notes. Ensure that these policies and procedures are updated, when required, clearly documented, and available to all employees as appropriate.• Perform as audit focal. Respond to internal and external SOX auditors for HR-related information requests in areas such as new hires, terminations, compensation, and performance review process.• Represent the HR function on internal committees, interview panels, and work groups as necessary.• Identify and recommend changes to current systems and procedures to ensure high standards of service are maintained.• Undertake any other duties as reasonably requested from time to time by the Head of Human Resources Europe. 20% Coaching, Consulting, and Employee Relations• Advise and coach management on a range of HR matters including but not limited to employee performance management, positive employee relations, disciplinary actions, and succession plans. Review document drafts providing feedback and recommendations for changes.• Co-facilitate training with the Training department, acting as a subject matter expert on various HR topics.• Perform as owner and leader for driving the resolution of various employee relations issues by intake of the issue, investigation and research, soliciting any necessary resources or experts and then resolving the issue at hand. Serve as Employee Relations contact for HR-related issues. Provide management support for complex escalated claims.• Facilitate and lead New Employee Connection (Induction)• Assist and provide training to management for the utilization of HR systems.• Perform any Disciplinary & Grievance & Investigations in line with Corporate Polices as and when required. 15% Recruiting• Effectively manage the recruitment process to include the preparation of advertisements, drafting job descriptions and person specifications, arranging interviews, preparation, and circulation of recruitment and selection paperwork.• With Head of Human Resources for Europe to develop a staffing plan for all direct requisitions by position, location, and timing to support the business.• Ensure that all employment processes are followed and in compliance with recruitment and selection-related functions with all relevant EU laws & regulations.• Remain involved in the selection processes, where necessary. 25% Agency/Staffing Vendor Management• Establish and maintain working relationships with all current Agency vendors sufficient to work with them for the source and supply of temporary and permanent future employees – I.E. bring all current vendors up to the same standard over time in the region.• Successfully negotiate the bill rates to ensure they are aligned with current market rates and closely related to the necessary job criteria 10% Training and Development/Performance Management• Keep up to date with employment legislation and ensure continuing professional development in line with recognized standards of the CIPD.• Undertake and participate in HR and training projects as agreed with the Head of HR.• Partner with managers in employee development to identify development needs for themselves and their team in line with the Company’s Employee Development Policy and development frameworks and set up appropriate trainings. 20% Administration & Reporting• Partner with the planning and coordination of employee events and/or meetings. May coordinate details with departments and with vendors, managing to specific budgets.• Updating, reviewing, and reporting the Employee Morale Budget to the Regional Manager; administration of the Long Service and Recognition Awards for Europe.• Responsible for Company Event organization: sourcing and finding a venue, etc.• Administer immigration (Visas, etc. cases)• Review and approve educational assistance requests ensuring, when required, all training bonds are in place and implemented correctly• Create reports on dashboard metrics and various other reports/queries for the European & US corporate offices as and when required 20% Knowledge/Skill Requirements• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills• Mature approach, reliable and able to be totally confidential/discrete• Excellent Microsoft Office knowledge and other database tools• A proactive nature and willingness to get involved with all aspects of the work of the department• Strong Business Acumen• Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.• Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.• Ability to self-motivate and function independently and maintain workflow with minimal supervision.• Perform duties that require strong comprehension, analytical, research, composition, communication, and organizational skills.• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, applicants and candidates, and the general public.• Ability to work in conjunction with company managers and employees.• Knowledge of a European language would be extremely beneficial but is not mandatory Education/Experience Requirements• Minimum 5-7 years’ of recent Human Resources experience.• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business Administration or 3 additional years’ directly related experience in an HR environment.
