Operations and Maintenance Manager
Job Summary/Basic Function: Reporting to the VP of Operations, the Operations and Maintenance Manager is responsible for assisting with O&M agreements, negotiating Scope of Work with clients, establishing strong rapport with clients/ customers through reviewing meetings and liaising with client asset managers, scheduling, and dispatching technicians, supporting appropriate billing, maintaining work databases and coordinating materials, equipment, and rentals for service work. Accountability Operations/ Scheduling/ Safety Supervise the creation of work orders and dispatch electricians / technicians Manage O&M team schedule to book emergency service calls and planned maintenance visits. Coordinate materials, equipment and rentals required for service work. Track and report time and material costs for analysis and invoicing Ensure safety policy and procedures are adhered to the highest standard. Client/ Customer Service/ Relationship Building Compile and submit Service and Maintenance Reports to clients Liaise with client asset managers and internal team to fulfill scheduled and unscheduled maintenance services. Develop a good relationship with property managers and liaise between clients and other stakeholders as required. Establish and maintain supplier relationships. Act as main point of contact for the union and unionized workers. Ensure that collective agreement is always adhered to. Keep an open line of communication with union stewards. Risk Analysis/ Administration Ensure that all work is performed to satisfy contractual obligations set out in various O&M agreements Closely monitor the efforts and billing of third-party contractors, consultants and other specialists. Assist the accounting team in O&M service invoicing Maintain database of site information and historical work performed. Continually analyze potential risks and production issues in order to mitigate or eliminate them. Critical Response/ Problem Resolution Review PV system monitoring portal for alarms and triage common issues. Identify and resolve conflicts within project teams and associate work. General Attend meetings and training, as required by the department and PESCA Other duties as assigned Basic Qualifications: Scope: Budget, employees direct and indirect and other resources managed. · Reporting into the VP of Operations, manage the scheduling and operations of Maintenance Contracts · Responsible for scheduling and directing the work of Electricians and Technicians · Responsible for troubleshooting and resolving concerns with Electricians and Technicians · Responsible for ensuring the correct pricing and billing to clients/ customers. · Responsible for building rapport with clients/ customers through communication, problem resolutions and establishment of SOWs · Responsible for establishing and maintaining supplier relations Education & Experience: · Bachelor of Engineering / Maters degree preferred. · 5-6 years of progressive, related experience. · Management Experience · Experience scoping projects, scheduling and coordinating work · Must have a good understanding of Solar PV systems and electrical code in Ontario. · Strong verbal and written communication skills · Excellent organization and interpersonal skills
