What You’ll Get to Do:

Responsibilities include executing the Supply Planning and Allocation processes for a variety of Business to Business products and solutions.  Each supply and allocation planner will be given one or more product categories to work on.  This position will need to work with factories and 3rd party suppliers in order to secure supply, and work with Demand Planners in order to ascertain priority for allocation.  The planners will need to use this information, in order to develop a supply plan, an allocation plan, and reliable ETA dates for customer orders and inquiries.

Supply Planning and Allocation:

  • Work with the factories and 3rd party suppliers in order to determine availability and place purchase orders
  • Consistently communicate with factories and 3rd party suppliers to keep track of changes in supply, required orders splits, improvements or degradations to existing ETA dates
  • Track KPI’s for on time delivery, factory performance to commitment, and 3rd party vendor performance
  • Work with the Demand Team in order to get expedite requirements for specific demands
  • Work with factories and 3rd party suppliers to try to accommodate expedite requests
  • Work with the Order Management Team in order to implement allocation plan, change allocation
  • Support the distributors with their order ETA’s, managing aged inventory and stock return

Process Improvement Initiatives:

  • Work to establish new allocation planning logic and processes and incorporate them within product categories
  • Explore functionality within the current planning systems and determine new ways to improve the function
  • Analyze processes and determine manual processes that can be automated. Develop and implement plans to automate these processes in order to improve overall process efficiency and reduce internal cost


What You’ll Bring:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Supply Chain, Business, Statistics, or a related field
  • 2+ Years of supply chain experience required, or equivalent University coursework
  • Experience working with advanced planning tools (i.e. JDA, APO, AnaPlan, Llamasoft, etc..) required, or equivalent coursework
  • APICS CSCP Certification preferred
  • Experience with SAP is preferred
  • Previous supply chain systems implementation experience a plus
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and PowerPoint

People Management/Conflict Resolution:

  • Ability to work within a team of Supply and Allocation Planners
  • Ability to work with Product/Category owners in order to prioritize demands and allocate properly
  • Ability to work with demand planners in order to get information on demand priorities
  • Ability to work with order management team to ensure proper implementation of the allocation plan
  • Ability to communicate ETA’s and constraints to salespeople

Communications:

  • Must have excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
  • Work with Customer Service, Sales, Product Management, Channel Management and Finance to resolve issues
  • Ability to communicate with Demand Planners, Sales, Product Management, Category Owners on a regular basis

Other Requirements:

  • Willingness to learn and evaluate new systems related to SCM for process and data quality improvements.
  • Must be deadline oriented
  • Organizational, Time Management, People Management & Presentation skills required
  • Data Analytics skills required
  • Ability to travel up to 10%
