The Position:

JOB SUMMARY

  • The Project Manager II will ensure that customer requirements are adequately defined, uniformly understood and appropriately Planned to achieve the successful execution of project.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Management of Customer Requirements/Project Scope
    • Plans and formulates engineering project requirements.
    • Directs integration of Structures products. Evaluates and approves design changes, specifications, and drawing releases.
    • Organizes the project specific phases or aspects of, such as technical studies, product design, preparation of specifications and technical plans, and product testing, in accordance with engineering disciplines. Reviews product design for compliance of company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications.
    • Controls expenditures within limitations of project budget.
  • Interdepartmental Coordination/Communication
    • Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.
    • Prepares project status reports and lessons learned presentations.
  • Leadership
    • Directs, coordinates, and acts as the functional authority for the planning and control of engineering projects for Structures related products.
    • Establishes and meets project objectives. Identify adequate and appropriate resources to be assigned to projects to ensure the company's goals are achieved and the customer's needs are met.

What we're looking for:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Additional class work in management type courses and problem solving techniques is preferred.
  • 5 years of applicable experience in program/project management.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in managing technical personnel and complex activities. These experiences should be gained in areas of research and development, product engineering, design engineering or technical management.


KNOWLEDGE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • A general understanding of persuasion techniques and methods.
  • Clear ability to effectively communicate verbally with personnel and management at all levels.
  • Having a wide-ranging experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.
  • Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
  • Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
  • Determines general methods and procedures for work and may coordinate activities of other personnel.
  • Uses independent judgment to ensure projects/assignments are completed accurately and on-time and may be tasked with ensuring work of others is completed in a timely manner.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time to domestic and international locations.


The salary range of $81,000 – $136,000 is just one component of Panasonic’s total package. The final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives. The minimum hourly wage for this role will be the greater of the posted range, or minimum wage for the location where the employee will be working, subject to local minimum wage requirements.

Paid time off: Exempt Salaried employees receive unlimited PTO. This means that there is no fixed number, range, or limit to theamountof Personal and Vacation Days that may be taken for exempt employees. Non-exempt hourly employees accrue 14 vacation days per year + 7 sick days + 3 personal days. Accrual rate increases with tenure. All employees receive 11 company paid holidays per year. We also close our offices at the corporate level in the U.S. between Christmas and New Year. For operational positions that are expected to work on holidays, we provide additional compensation for hours worked.
