Panasonic Projector Technician - Walt Disney World

Job Description

Overview

Performs tasks associated with the testing, diagnosing, repair, and/or refurbishment of projectors on Walt Disney World Property in Orlando, Florida. This includes disassembling (taking apart) and reassembling components after repairing or replacing parts.
Responsibilities

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide technical repair on Panasonic PJ products: by testing, troubleshooting, and diagnosing hardware failures and display gear to the sub-assembly and component level.
  • Align and calibrate customer repairs for optimal performance onsite.
  • Clean, QC, and help properly pack every unit prior to send back to customer.
  • Maintain service records in the current service database system on all repairs, and order parts needed for repairs if needed
  • Enter all customer, parts, and problem description and resolution information data for every unit
  • Assure all customer and product data is updated, complete, and relevant
  • Communicate with customers and account management on status of all repairs.
  • Assist customers with technical questions, as required in a timely manner by phone or e-mail.
  • Attend all product training and personal development training as specified by management.
  • Remain current on industry technology and market trends on related hardware and software.

 

Requirements:

  • Able to travel 20% of the time to cover Panasonic customer within driving distance of job site facility
  • 4-years technical degree required or 5-years’ experience repairing equipment in a similar industry preferred
  • Knowledge of projector operation and maintenance. 
  • Extensive experience in examining, investigating, and solving dynamic problems is desired
  • Experience troubleshooting Computer and video products is required
  • Manage company resources (equipment, laptop, etc.) to keep properly running and in good condition.
  • Manage time properly to arrive on time and leave after assigned shift, except as approved by management.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Capable of analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving complex customer issues and product failures.
  • Follow-up or properly escalate unresolved customer issues for quickest resolution.
  • Good communication and inter-personal skill.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, including the ability to clearly express thoughts to others and exchange information.
  • Ability to dress in a professional manner.
  • Highly self-motivated and independent.

 

Pay range $20.00-$30.00
