Job Summary:
Panasonic is seeking a skilled Human Resources Leader to become our Senior HR Manager, reporting to the Director of HR. The Senior HR Manager role is responsible for leading a team of HR Managers and HR Business Partners who support multiple business units for Panasonic at the Gigafactory. This role is also responsible for ensuring the effective and consistent delivery of Human Resources services including coaching/counseling employees and leadership, sourcing and selection, performance management programs, organizational effectiveness, compensation, leader/employee development, and providing HR leadership for the employee base of over 4,000 at the Gigafactory.
Essential Duties:
- Be a member of the Senior Leadership Team at PECNA and work directly with respective Unit Leaders on all people related programs, strategies, and goals.
- Team lead HR Managers, HR Business Partners and/or HR Specialists to amplify the voice of the employee, the culture of the business, the vision of the company and the purpose of the team.
- Partner with other HR functional areas such as Talent Acquisition, HR Operations, Legal, and Learning and Development to bring robust solutions to solve organizational challenges.
- Promote the PECNA High Performance Culture (HPC) to ensure talent is identified and developed.
- Champion the Panasonic Values and HPC Leadership Behaviors.
- Drive all Employee Relations and Employee Engagement Activities, Programs, and Goals.
- Elevate the capability of the HR Client Support team and by extension, the entire HR function through goals & objectives, training, regular feedback, HR staffing excellence and external perspective.
- Build, Maintain and Modify clear and practical Policies that appropriately addresses business and employee needs.
- Champion Succession Plans to ensure true career and skills advancement for all PECNA Leadership.
- Champion clear communication programs for all People related activities, programs, and initiatives.
- Prepare contingency plans and emergency operational support in coordination with risk management planning.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements:
- To ensure the health and safety in the workplace and for the protection of our employees, wearing PPE is a requirement for some roles at PENA and may include equipment such as a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, bump cap, and a full hazmat suit that includes a respirator.

Qualifications
Requirements - Required and/or Preferred
Education:
- Basic/Required: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or 6 years of directly leading other HR professionals in a manager capacity.
- Preferred: None
Essential Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in a HR capacity with at least 3 years directly managing others.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience providing HR Support in manufacturing or related industries.
- Ability to work fully onsite in a highspeed, 24/7 manufacturing facility including accessing clean environments requiring full use of PPE.
- Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 10+ years HR leadership experience, with a majority in a manufacturing environment, preferably in both union and non-union environments. Multi-site HR leadership preferred.
- Demonstrated comfort in multi-national environments.
- Strong written and spoken communication. This role is a critical leadership role, with communications affecting a large organization.
- Demonstrated excellence in investigatory elements of employee relations including experience with structured problem-solving techniques.
- Strong understanding of data and HRIS systems with the ability to speak knowledgeably on trends, statistics, and comfort using KPIs to drive business growth.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
- Alignment to Panasonic’s seven Core Principles (Contribution to Society, Fairness and Honesty, Cooperation and Team Spirit, Untiring Effort for Improvement, Courtesy and Humility, Adaptability, Gratitude).
