The Position:
Job Summary
Support the local inspection activity, drive continuous improvement through data analysis, respond to issues leveraging a robust root cause analysis, and support definition of quality activities through procedural and instruction updates.
Inspection areas include receiving, in-process, final, or shipping inspection.
Major Responsibilities
• Liaise activity and provide technical support to the quality control inspectors.
• Supporting MRB through investigating non-conforming parts, collaborating with various departments (Design Engineering, Procurement, etc.), confirming discrepancy, and supporting a disposition.
• Support First Article Inspections per AS9102 at the Supplier and those produced internally.
• Improves and implements quality operation procedures, work instructions, and quality planning.
• Performs root cause analyses to support the application of closed loop corrective action.
• Support Change Control Board function through a technical and procedural review of engineering documentation (incl. Engineering Drawings, Acceptance Test Procedures, etc.)
• Gather and analyze data and to develop data-driven corrective actions plans for internal rejections, customer rejections, supplier issues, etc. prioritizing continuous improvement.
The salary or hourly wage range of $77,000-129,000 is just one component of Panasonic’s total package. The final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives. The minimum hourly wage for this role will be the greater of the posted range, or minimum wage for the location where the employee will be working, subject to local minimum wage requirements.
What We’re Looking For:
Knowledge/ Skill Requirements
• Experience interpreting Engineering drawings and Acceptance Test Procedures at an advanced level.
• Demonstrated ability to function independently to resolve issues at an intermediate level.
• Demonstrated ability to interact with diverse personalities and build cooperative relationships at an advanced level.
• Fully proficient with MS Office Suite applications
• Demonstrated ability to have Clear, Concise and Effective communication skills.
• Fully proficient in mechanical measurement instruments and electrical instruments.
• Experience working in AS9100 and FAA compliant environment.
• Familiarity and practical experience with various root cause analysis methods.
Education/Experience Requirements
• BS, BSEE or related Engineering degree. Equivalent Experience may be substituted for degree.
• 3-5 years of related experience.
• Aerospace Industry experience preferred.
• Experience leading 6S activities preferred.
• Experience with supporting Lean Manufacturing events preferred.
