About our internship program

The purpose of PENA's Internship Program is to provide an entry-level experience into our organization, develop an early talent pipeline for potential employment, and provide learning and development opportunities within Panasonic and PENA. Our program provides undergraduate students an opportunity to gain practical work experience through working on business-driven projects and exposing them to the work done at PENA.

About PENA

Over the past few years, the Gigafactory has grown from a pile of dirt into the largest lithium-ion battery factory in the world. Together with our partner Tesla, we continue to revolutionize the lithium-ion battery space and accelerate the world's transition to sustainable energy and transportation. 

Internship opportunities at PENA

PENA offers internships across many of our departments in a variety of roles, including:

• Employee Health & Safety (EHS)

• Facilities

• Maintenance

Duration

PENA's internship program is 12 weeks, beginning on May 20th and concluding on August 9th. 

Qualifications

To qualify for consideration, we require:

• Minimum GPA of 3.2
• Minimum of 2 years of undergraduate-level studies

Housing

For interns not based in the Reno or Sparks area, we help with housing! We offer corporate fully furnished housing that is 100% covered by PENA. Transportation to and from the Gigafactory is included. Note: Relocation costs are not covered.
