About our Engineering Pathway program

The purpose of PENA's Graduate Engineering Pathway Program is to provide a wide-ranging experience with our organization, develop a diversely equipped talent pipeline for potential employment, and provide learning and development opportunities within Panasonic and PENA. Our program provides graduate students an opportunity to gain practical work experience through working on business-driven projects and exposing them to the work done at PENA.

About PENA

Over the past few years, the Gigafactory has grown from a pile of dirt into the largest lithium-ion battery factory in the world. Together with our partner Tesla, we continue to revolutionize the lithium-ion battery space and accelerate the world's transition to sustainable energy and transportation. 

Pathway Program Areas of Focus 

PENA offers a unique chance to work across the business to learn and gain valuable experience. Participants will spend six (6) months in each of these areas of PENA:

• Mechanical Engineering (ME)
• Cell & Process Engineering (C&P)
• Quality Engineering
• Program Management

Duration

PENA's internship program is 24 months, two whole years! The program launches July 8th, 2024. 

Qualifications

To qualify for consideration, we require:

• Undergraduate degree in Engineering or related field, obtained within the past 18 months of start date (July 8th, 2024)
• Must be willing to commit to entire program onsite in Sparks, NV at the Gigafactory

Relocation & Transportation

PENA is proud to offer a relocation package for Pathway participants. Transportation to and from the Gigafactory is included.
