We’re expanding our EHS team in Reno, NV, and are looking for skilled professionals to fill the following positions:

Sr EHS Manager will manage and build the environmental, health and safety programs, teams and culture for our NV Li-ion battery manufacturing processes. The Sr EHS Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive EHS management systems to ensure a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible workplace and drive a Safety-driven culture. This role involves providing leadership and technical expertise to drive continuous improvement in EHS performance.

  • Champion a high-performance safety culture by leading strategic EHS initiatives, driving continuous improvement, and aligning cross-functional teams to achieve long-term safety and compliance goals.

  • Serve as a trusted EHS expert across engineering and production, providing technical guidance on key safety programs including Machine Guarding, Lock Out/Tag Out, and Hazardous Materials Management.

  • Ensure regulatory excellence and operational safety by overseeing compliance with federal, state, and local EHS regulations, managing risk assessments, and implementing proactive incident prevention strategies.

The Sr. EHS Manager will oversee the implementation of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs and initiatives to support PECNA’s battery production operations. The position demands a strong technical command of safety management systems, incident investigation, and risk mitigation strategies. Success in this role means championing a zero-incident mindset while contributing to the long-term operational excellence of a state-of-the-art facility.

  • Drive a proactive safety culture on the production floor by coaching teams, managing KPIs with a zero-incident mindset, and implementing best practices aligned with PECNA’s EHS management systems.

  • Act as a hands-on safety expert by assessing daily operations, conducting risk analyses, and leading initiatives in key areas such as LOTO, machine guarding, and industrial hygiene.

  • Lead compliance and continuous improvement efforts through incident investigations, corrective action management, and collaboration with cross-functional teams and safety committees.

The Environmental Technician – Level 1 plays a key role in supporting environmental compliance activities such as inspections, reporting, and spill response across the manufacturing site. This entry-level position offers hands-on learning under close supervision, focusing on facility processes, regulatory standards, and safety protocols related to lithium-ion battery production.

  • Support environmental compliance and risk mitigation by conducting inspections, responding to spills, and maintaining accurate reporting across stormwater, air permits, and waste management programs.

  • Promote a culture of environmental safety and continuous improvement through active floor engagement, training support, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve compliance issues.

  • Build technical expertise and operational readiness by learning PECNA’s environmental systems, applying regulatory knowledge, and assisting in emergency response and incident investigations.
