Job location:  the person filling this position can live in the following metro areas:  Omaha, NE; Davenport, IA; Urbandale, IA; Lenexa, KS.  This is not a remote work position.  Daily physical presence is required at one of these branch office locations.  

The Service Biller is responsible for service financial and operational tasks including documentation, material requisition, job costing, status monitoring, invoicing, and administrative closeout of service activities.  This position is required to closely interact with the Area Service Manager and assigned service staff to ensure the timely and accurate completion of tasks.


Job Description 

  • Perform advanced billing functions and invoicing for refrigeration and HVAC service department
  • Generate invoices for internal and customer applications and for individually assigned accounts
  • Prepare and print customer invoices by entering labor/material into AS400 system
  • Research database for parts/pricing to insure proper control over inventory in stocking locations
  • Complete associated job account reconciliations
  • Investigate and resolve invoice disputes
  • Receive and reconcile purchase orders
  • Coordinate payroll activities; ensure technicians post hours daily
  • Execute general administrative functions to support service processes
  • Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned

Required Experience 

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience.
  • High school diploma. 
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles; experience with accounts receivable.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel software application.
  • Working knowledge of commercial refrigeration/HVAC and service agreements preferred.
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple/competing priorities and tasks in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Flexibility to work outside normal hours.
  • High level of professionalism and diplomacy.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Outstanding attention to detail.
