Solution Design:  Investigate customer requirements in partnership with sales to understand all the specific details of a proposed project. Design and develop system architectures for new KAIROS deployments and upgrades including documentation of system architectures and best practices. Proof-read sales team proposals and escalate product management designs before finalizing quotes. Become a “go-to” for the proposal responses by providing feedback and analysis that improves our position to close business.

Solution Sales Promotion:  Supports both in-person and remote Technology Demonstrations using hands-on integration as well as product value propositions through verbal, written and visual communication. Support and train channel partners, integrators, resellers and consultants. 

Partner with the Marketing Team and Channel Partners to proactively market new and current solutions to existing and developing customers. Utilize your understanding of current market trends and new technologies to assess how Panasonic solutions can benefit the end user, creating salient characteristics to drive Panasonic business. Contribute to promotional collateral, print, videos and other sales tools targeting specific markets and applications. Create presentations on particularly unique applications to provide new approaches to sales channel stakeholders and customers, also presentations on competitive product weaknesses. Keep strategic partners up to date on new developments from Panasonic and key third-party vendor partners.

Solution Testing: Perform testing on all new and prototype Panasonic KAIROS related products (features and software builds) as well as third party components either resold or certified, completing designs where appropriate.

Cross-team support: Work with other members of KAIROS team as required including: maintaining equipment in demo pool, providing on-site product demos, and solution deployment – including initial configuration and advanced troubleshooting.

Market Reporting: Participate in industry bodies (VSF, SMPTE, AMWA etc.) to keep current on industry developments and maintain relationships with technology leaders involved in MoIP, live production & entertainment and broadcast control rooms. Report on the needs of customers and recurring requests from customers to product management engineering and development teams in Japan & Europe. Propose new features products or solutions based on availability of new technologies and emerging market trends. 

Event Support: Provide pre-planning design and on-site setup of AV product presentations. Demonstrate KAIROS and other solution components to prospective customers.

  • Support sales by demonstrating the benefits of a proposed KAIROS solution.
  • Develop and execute acceptance testing for new Panasonic KAIROS components and third-party elements that will inter-operate with KAIROS.
  • Test new third-party components, maintain documentation on approved products and best practices, including development of new components with Panasonic engineers or technology partners.
  • Create, maintain, and update engineering training programs and materials for Panasonic in addition to channel partners.

What You'll Bring

To be effective in this position, you'll need to be comfortable knowing the entire professional video over IP architecture development process from inception to completion, including SMPTE ST 2110.

Education & Experience:

  • Preferred B.S. Degree in the following areas: Computer Science, Broadcast or AV/IT Engineering, Information Systems, Pro Video Business, or equivalent experience in the field
  • 3-5 Years on-site network or broadcast system deployment or installation project experience
  • Experience in configuring IP networks and maintaining servers (Cisco / AVIXA / SMPTE Certification Required).
  • Excellent knowledge of Live Production Switchers, IP Streaming, IP control, IP Networking and related applications.  Experience in managing live event or broadcast system under time sensitive constraints.
  • Experience configuring server-based media systems.

  • Demonstrated results-orientation, an eye for quality. 
  • Attention to details with a strong track record of delivering results according to project schedules, with minimal oversight.

Communications:

  • Ability to engage customers at the configuration level
  • Must have the ability to explain complex systems in a simple and easy-to-understand manner.
  • Ability to excel in idea generation, evaluation, and prioritization, customer and partner engagement, and cross functional technical program management
  • Ability to develop and foster collaborative working relationships with the customer, project managers and team members. 
  • Excellent communications skills both written and verbal required. 
  • Skilled presenter who is comfortable with one-on-one or large group audiences.
  • Passionate company advocate with ability to negotiate at all levels of customer engagement.

Other Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic environment with minimal day-to-day direction
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of time, some weekend work, hours of work may vary due to business travel, customer availability and trade show involvement.
What We Offer:    The salary range of $75,000 –$105,000 is just one component of Panasonic’s total package. Actual compensation varies depending on the individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives.
