Job Summary: 

The AP/AR Supervisor’s primary responsibility is to supervise and organize the day-to-day operations pertaining to the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions. The Supervisor provides guidance and support to the AP/AR team by identifying opportunities for process improvement in accordance with company policies. Furthermore, the Supervisor will provide support to accounting leadership to achieve the department’s overall objectives and goals. 

 

 

Essential Duties: 

  • Provide supervision to the day-to-day AP & AR operations
  • Ensure the accounting staff are trained and equipped to complete assigned tasks
  • Prepare and/or review various journal entries to ensure booking in accordance with GAAP/IFRS and company policy
  • Review and compile required documentation to ensure compliance with required control processes and procedures
  • Responsible for banking and foreign exchange transactions
  • Review current process and implement process improvements
  • Document procedures, processes, and systems as they evolve for the department
  • Review Monthly Account Reconciliations
  • Support the manager/controller in the general ledger closing activities coordinating with finance and accounting during an aggressive three day close
  • Reconcile and review general ledger accounts monthly as assigned
  • Prepare schedules/reporting as assigned
  • Perform JSOX audit self-assessment
  • Work with Internal and External Auditors requirements during Interim and Year-end audits
  • Monitor staff performance and complete scheduled performance reviews
  • Assist in planning and recruiting of staff

 

 

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements:

Qualifications:  Requirements - Required and/or Preferred 

 

Education: 

  • Basic/Required:  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Preferred: None

 

 

Essential Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of 3-5+ years of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable experience, preferably in a manufacturing or similar environment
  • Advanced literacy with Microsoft Office, especially Excel spreadsheets and database functions for tracking, variance analysis and reporting
  • Knowledge of SAP, Oracle, or another fully integrated ERP system
  • Able to work with all levels of management as high as CEO and as low as first level manager
  • Highly organized and able to follow a systematic method of performing a task
  • Ability to collaborate and form teams
  • Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English
