Oversee software engineers to ensure software quality and support project piloting with customers
- Manage software solution development projects throughout full life cycle of the project
- Lead, architect, design and implement software IoT platform development with software partners
- Collaborate with sales engineers, project managers, hardware engineers and system integration engineers to plan and execute projects
- Oversee software and platform quality delivered by partners
- Provide cost estimates and development schedules for software projects
- Work closely and collaboratively with customers to understand and capture requirements
- Prompt software solutions and support pre-sale activities
- Communicate technical information to non-technical staff in a way that is easy to understand
Education and Experience:
- BS in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 10+ years’ experience in developing software applications
- 6+ experience with software project full lifecycle management
- 6+ years’ experience with software architecture design and be familiar with software lifecycles
- 4+ years’ experience with RESTful API, Web Services
- Proven experience on architect, design software system for industrial customers
- Advanced knowledge on modern software development methodologies such as Agile, DevOps
- Advanced knowledge on CS, BS, N-tier, Micro-services system architecture
- Adept oral and written communication skills
- Desire to work in a dynamic team environment
- Desire to get outside of the box and explore solutions from a variety of perspectives and make appropriate technical tradeoffs
- Must work quickly, creatively & decisively, delivering solutions per product and project requirements
- Experience with Cloud computing and major computing platforms is a plus
- Experience using Linux platforms and programming in Linux environment is a plus
- Experience with scripting languages like JavaScript, Python, Power-shell, Bash is a plus
- Experience with server, virtual machine setup and configurations is a plus
- Experience with popular open-source Web servers, Message Queues, Databases and other components is a plus
- Experience with software quality assurance is a plus
Location:
Preferably Newark, NJ, but working remote is acceptable too.
