The position:
Manage a team of highly skilled Software Engineers in an Agile environment to design, develop, and deliver cutting edge software solutions that enable file delivery to and from the Aircraft. Partner with a team of software managers working together to deliver a suite of software solutions that represent Panasonic’s In-Flight Platform, including both airside and ground-side elements.
Software Engineering
- Manages and directs department activities, assigning, coordinating, and reviews work of software engineering subordinates, to design new products, modify existing designs, improve production techniques, and develop test

The salary wage range of $126,000 – $211,000 is just one component of Panasonic’s total package. The final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives. The minimum hourly wage for this role will be the greater of the posted range, or minimum wage for the location where the employee will be working, subject to local minimum wage requirements.
What we’re looking for:
- Ability to design, develop, code, test, debug and implement technical projects for the fabrication, modification and evaluation of new or existing software solutions or products.
- Proficient with commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the Software Engineering field.
- Highly proficient in designing and developing requirements from specifications, oral instructions, or preliminary sketches.
- Advanced ability to develop and implement test methods and procedures.
- Ability to work in a diverse, fast paced, ever changing environment.
- Demonstrated leadership, people and team building skills. Ability to effectively resolve staff issues as they arise.
- Excellent written and verbal skills with proactive attitude.
- Ability to effectively communicate between several departments within the organization.

- Ability to receive assignments in the form of objectives and determines how to use resources to meet schedules and goals.
- Proven ability to direct and coordinate staff in developing solutions to technical problems that require extensive investigation and clarification.
- Recommends changes to policies and establishes procedures that affect immediate organization(s).
- Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends.
- 4 year degree, preferably in Engineering, Computer Science, or other Technical Degree or 9 years relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- 5+ years experience in software development
- 2+ years supervisory, team lead, or project leader experience.
- Ability to travel both domestically and Internationally up to 15% of time.
