Duties & Responsibilities 
  • Oversees and leads warehouse functions, including trade compliance, distribution, logistics, assembly projects, service parts, warehouse facilities and warehouse administration
  • Oversees Traffic department in Tijuana facility remotely (with support from assistant manager located in Tijuana)
  • Develop and initiate monthly reports having required project timelines, corporate metrics, and productivity measurements.
  • Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
  • Works closely with logistics department counterparts in TJ facility to ensure effective coordination of logistics operations
  • Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
  • Develop positive relationships with freight and external logistics companies.
  • Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
  • Investigate and recommend optimal shipping options and coordinate with vendors.
  • Responsible for U.S. and Mexico trade compliance requirements including but not limited to HTS, country of origin verifications, valuation, reconciliation, annex 24/31 C-TPAT and OEA,
  • Coordinate and communicate with external parties to ensure acquisition and delivery of shipments.
  • Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
  • Manages physical inventory controls by conducting physical counts, reconciling with data storage system. Complies with SOX regulations.
  • Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
  • Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees, following up on work results.
  • Manages AP freight reconciliation by auditing, processing, and reconciling freight forwarder invoices.
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills & Abilities
  • English/Spanish bilingual skills are required
  • Ability to work independently and within teams to handle multiple projects

  • Problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff
  • Proficient in standard logistics software
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite/ SAP and I-XPORT experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail required
  • Ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision.
  • Lean manufacturing experience


Education & Experience

  • BS in Business Administration, Logistics or Supply Chain Management preferred, High school diploma required
  • 4-5 years’ experience in warehouse environment
  • 4-7 years in supervisor role or leading teams

 
Work Environment & Travel

  • Office and warehouse environment
  • 30% travel to Tijuana facility
