The Position:
- Leads, consults or oversees multiple architectural engagements. Works on highly complex projects that require in-depth knowledge within a domain: technical, solutions, business or information. Leads domain specific architecture. Produces architecture designs for major system components. Ensures alignment with PAC cloud architecture strategy.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Produces and manages design of major and complex systems by producing architectural designs based on business objects and aligned with PAC architecture
- Provides technical consulting and strategic direction to engineering team
- Engage in technical discussions; participate in technical designs and present technical ideas through white boarding
- Work directly with team architects to produce assigned architectural deliverables.
The salary or hourly wage range of $143,000-240,000 is just one component of Panasonic’s total package. The final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives. The minimum hourly wage for this role will be the greater of the posted range, or minimum wage for the location where the employee will be working, subject to local minimum wage requirements.
What We’re Looking For:
KNOWLEDGE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Possess advanced domain knowledge and be an expert in architectural patterns and frameworks
- Experienced with agile/iterative project methodology such as Scrum, preferably with experience using agile software collaboration tools
- Excellent communicator, works well in a team environment, and welcomes challenges
- Self-starter with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced work environment
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills demonstrated the ability to assimilate new information and understand complex topics
- Background and experience in emerging technologies in cloud, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS and Microservices architecture
- Advanced experience with web technologies, networking concepts, virtualized environments, continuous integration, deployment and monitoring tools
- Ability to interact at all levels of the organization and with other PAC businesses
- Experience in designing scalable and highly available distributed systems
- Demonstrates clarity of thinking to work through limited information and vague problem definitions to make informed technology choices after due diligence and impact assessment
- Influences through others; builds direct and "behind the scenes" support for ideas
- Able to work under minimal supervision
- Execute in a fast pace delivery mode and focus in delivering tasks to meet the product release goal
- Work closely with your peers and keep engaging in a fast pace technical design and development team
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems or relevant experience and accomplishments. Certification in cloud technologies a plus
- A minimum of 12 years’ professional experience in enterprise or large systems architecture; OR
- Master’s degree with 8 years of experience in architecture
- Must be willing to travel (roughly 10% of the time)
