Panasonic Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month
Panasonic Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month
At Panasonic, we believe that diversity and inclusion is the key to innovation. By bringing individuals from unique backgrounds, mindsets, cultures and experiences together, we’re able to accomplish so much more as an organization.
Hispanic Heritage Month is observed from September 15 to October 15 in celebration of the heritage, history and accomplishments of individuals from all Latin American countries.
This year we’ve asked Latinx members of the community to share about the importance of Hispanic Heritage Month and how they’ve experienced our inclusive culture throughout their time at Panasonic. Meet a few members of our team below.
Gustavo Sepulveda, Process Automation Director, Panasonic Systems Solutions of North America
“My favorite part about being a member of the Panasonic team? I really believe in our 7 business principles, and more importantly, how they are truly lived within Panasonic. Being able to understand and respect different points of view is indispensable in today’s world, not only within our organization but with our customers and suppliers who also come from diverse backgrounds.”
Michelle Nunez, Associate Corporate Security Specialist, Panasonic North America
“I enjoy working at a company that shares the same values I do. I see diversity, equity, and inclusion everywhere in the workplace—each team is as diverse as the next. Being able to recognize our individual cultures and unique backgrounds throughout Hispanic Heritage Month makes me feel appreciated for what I’m able to bring to the table in my role.”
Brian Saavedra, Product Support Engineering, Panasonic Avionics Corporation
“Working at Panasonic gives me the opportunity to contribute to an exciting fast-moving company and industry by providing the best customer support; I strongly believe in the company’s mission to make a positive impact in the Aviation industry. Panasonic has become a family for me after the 10 years of employment.”
Ramiro Meza, Group Manager, Panasonic Automotive Systems Corporation of America, Devices
“Hispanic Heritage Month is an excellent way to recognize the influence and achievements that Hispanic and Latinx individuals have here at Panasonic and across the country. Being able to celebrate our differences is oftentimes a great way to bring us closer together and learn from each other.”
Joanna Diaz, Recruiter, Panasonic Energy of North America
“Panasonic’s history is steeped in diversity and inclusion, having operations in many different countries. We embrace this by creating an inviting and diverse workplace with our recruitment efforts. We should reflect and celebrate who we are every day!”
Omar Campos, Purchasing Director, Panasonic Automotive Systems Mexico
“Hispanic Heritage Month is an opportunity to embrace our cultures and stop for a moment to reflect on the many accomplishments we all together can bring to this world. Panasonic has such a dynamic working environment, and as leaders we do everything we can to live and work based on our principles and values.”
Benito Banda Tovar, Honda CAD Business Unit Manager, Panasonic Automotive Systems Corporation of America, Mexico
“The opportunities for growth and professional development offered to our employees are limitless. I can proudly say that I am a result of the fantastic programs that have been put in place after joining the team in 2008 as a Product Electrical Engineer. Now I get to lead a team that takes pride in the work being done here in Mexico.”
Miriam Ramos, Executive Assistant, Panasonic Systems Solutions North America, Planning & Operations
“My Hispanic upbringing shaped me into the person I am today. I believe talent is found in all people and that we all have strengths to offer. Panasonic has a broad array of employees working together to solve business issues. This type of collaboration allows us to learn from each other, share our cultures and come together on a deeper level.”
Antonio Jimenez Cantu, SMT NPL Engineer, Mexico
“I started working at Panasonic right after graduating from university. Thanks to our inclusive culture, I have learned so much from the people I get to work with. The mentorship and growth opportunities I’ve had continue to help me develop in my career.”
Maribel Medina de Ochoa, Human Resources Manager, Panasonic Automotive Systems Mexico
“Because Panasonic is a company that truly cares about people, I’ve had the opportunity to help many people during my 10 years here. When our employees are able to come together to support our local communities, we’re able to make a real impact in other people’s lives.”
Flovit L. Vite, Quality Group Manager, Panasonic Automotive Mexico
“Hispanic heritage is about pride on history, family, and traditions. We have strong family ties and believe in living life and getting better together. Our diversity, equity, and inclusion at Panasonic provides us with these same strong ties through teamwork, respect, and cooperation.”
Jorge Rebolloso, Production Engineering Supervisor, Panasonic Automotive Systems Mexico, CAMERAS
