Panasonic in 2023: Veterans
3 minutesAs 2023 draws to a close, we reflect on the various ways Panasonic has actively embraced a culture of diversity, inclusion, and social responsibility, particularly in our commitment to supporting veterans and military families. In this end-of-year careers blog, we'll take you through some of the impactful initiatives we've undertaken to honor and support the brave men and women who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces.
Non-Profit Partnerships
Throughout the year, we've collaborated with esteemed non-profits such as Semper Fi & Americas Fund, Headstrong Project, and Soldier’s Angels. Our participation in their presentations and events underscores our dedication to service members.
Veterans Day & Military Families Month
On Veterans Day, we came together as a Panasonic family to express our gratitude to those who have served. In our PASA (Panasonic Automotive Systems of America) offices in Georgia and Michigan, we hosted special lunches, accompanied by gift cards for meals and personalized thank-you cards signed by our executive team. Connecting virtually with our smaller satellite offices via Teams, our President, Engineering VP, and other leaders conveyed heartfelt messages of appreciation.
At PENA (Panasonic Energy of North America), we went a step further during Veterans Day and Military Families Month. Through a touching video, we aimed to honor and recognize the dedication and sacrifice of our veterans. It was a small token of our appreciation for the extraordinary contributions they've made to our country.
Conference Appearance
Our participation in the Association of the United States Army Annual Conference in Washington DC was a testament to our commitment to actively engage with the military community. This event provided us with a valuable platform to connect with military professionals, showcase our dedication to supporting the armed forces, and explore opportunities for collaboration.
Frontline Leadership Series
In our latest episode of the Frontline Leadership series, we had the privilege of sitting down with Dr. Lucas Dyer and Jared Darensbourg—both former U.S. Marines. Their insights and experiences shed light on the unique perspectives veterans bring to our organization. It's a reminder of the strength and leadership qualities that define those who have served in the military.
At Panasonic, our dedication to supporting veterans goes beyond words. The initiatives, partnerships, and internal celebrations throughout the year are a testament to our commitment to creating a workplace where everyone, including veterans, can thrive. As we bid farewell to this year, we look forward to continuing our efforts to make a positive impact on the lives of military families in the coming year.
