Pursuing Your Passions with Panasonic
Pursuing Your Passions with Panasonic
At Panasonic, we believe in empowering our employees to pursue their passions in and outside of the workplace - it is a part of our approach to fostering a supportive culture and prioritizing well-being for all.
In recent months, as many continue to work remotely, this flexibility has allowed some of our team members to focus on self-improvement, learning a new skill, giving back, or exploring a new interest.
Whether it is learning to make a new recipe, volunteering within your local community, getting involved in a sports league, or using paid-time-off to visit family, members of Team Panasonic have found new ways to explore what inspires them and keeps them feeling refreshed.
So, what are you waiting for? Get inspired. Get motivated. Check out some of a few inspiring projects our employees have been working on below!
Ashley Manz, Senior Social Media Manager, Panasonic Corporation of North America
Giving back to the future generations of marketing professionals is something that has been a priority to me in my professional career. Since 2015, I’ve been an adjunct professor teaching social media marketing to undergraduates at New Jersey City University and created a course around public relations evaluation methods for graduate students at Rutgers University. I also serve as the professional adviser for NJCU’s PRSSA chapter. From the moment that I was hired at Panasonic, management has been so supportive and encouraged me to continue to teach and work with the students. It’s mutually beneficial as I stay current on the latest industry research and trends to put my lectures together, but also learn so much from all my students every semester.
Karen Bregar, HRIS Manager, Panasonic Corporation of North America
I have been making wine since 2004 – coincidentally the same year I started working with Panasonic. Since I liked to drink wine, I was interested in learning how wine was made and became actively involved in the process of making it. It is also a very social activity, where each year I share a barrel with others (my ‘barrel-mates’) and I’ve been able to meet other interesting people that I would not have normally met. Panasonic’s flexibility with working from home has allowed me to have more time to immerse myself in this process as I do not always have to schedule the wine making activities for weekends or late evenings.
Nick Bartolotti, Lead Software Systems Engineer, Panasonic Industrial Devices Sales Company of America
As a Spartan SGX-L1 coach, I’m helping change 100 million lives by inspiring people to get off the couch and find the best version of themselves through fitness and change management. Flexible work hours at Panasonic allow me to coach group training classes during the “prime” time slots of 5-6 am and 4-6 pm. This journey has granted me the opportunity to articulate my sense of purpose, my true north, my why: Aspire to Inspire, which I define as: By word or action or intent or any other means, uplift, and support people to be the best version of themselves.
Emily Mendieta, Talent Experience Specialist, Panasonic Corporation of North America
As a first-generation college graduate, furthering my education has always been important to me. I began my Panasonic journey as an intern and converted to a full-time employee once I graduated, and now I’m working towards my next educational goal. Thanks to Panasonic’s Tuition Reimbursement Program, I am getting the support I need to keep expanding my skillset to grow in my career. I am grateful to say Panasonic will be there for me again to see me cross this finish line as I work towards getting my master's degree!
