PRISM: Panasonic's LGBTQIA+ Business Impact Group
PRISM is Panasonic's Business Impact Group (BIG) dedicated to supporting LGBTQIA+ employees and allies. This vibrant community hosts a variety of events throughout the year, both in-person and virtual, aimed at fostering a sense of belonging and promoting awareness. From volunteer opportunities to celebrations, PRISM offers a range of activities that allow employees to engage with their peers and contribute to the advancement of LGBTQIA+ inclusion. One notable event for Pride this year, is our Virtual Drag Show, which will showcase the talents and creativity of performers from the LGBTQIA+ community.
Raising the Pride Flag at Panasonic HQ
In a momentous occasion, Panasonic recently held a flag-raising ceremony at our Newark headquarters to honor and celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community. Beneath the Panasonic flag, the pride flag was proudly raised, symbolizing our commitment to creating an inclusive and accepting workplace. This event not only demonstrated our support for LGBTQIA+ employees but also served as a visible reminder of our ongoing efforts to promote equality and respect for all.
Treating Employees Fairly and Equally
We are proud to share that in a recent survey conducted by Great Place to Work, 95% of Panasonic employees reported feeling treated fairly regardless of sexual orientation or gender expression. This remarkable statistic reflects our commitment to creating an environment where everyone feels valued and respected. At Panasonic, diversity is not just a buzzword – it is a fundamental aspect of our company culture.

And one way Panasonic is achieving this is through our voluntary self-identification program, which was recently expanded to nearly all U.S. businesses to include Pronouns, Sexual Orientation, and Gender Identity.
