Warehouse Coordinator:

Ensures the efficiency of warehouse activities through the planning and scheduling of shipping orders. Monitors staff picking efficiency and distributes work to ensure shipping deadlines are consistently met. Maintains Warehouse Management System with updated customer information as it pertains to distribution requirements and other customer specifications. Monitors and manages Special Account orders to meet customer requirements.

Please note that this is a 100% on-site role, based out of our Mississauga location on Ambler Drive. 

Responsibilities

  1. Prioritizes and schedules all shipments using Warehouse Management System according to product availability, customer scheduling requirements and labor allocation.
  2. Distributes picking orders to Warehouse staff using the Warehouse Management System. Keeps supervisors aware of scheduling priorities and modifies schedules as needed to meet forecast changes. Continually monitors picking efficiencies and distributes work to meet scheduling deadlines and ensures maximum productivity. 
  3. Communicates picking and shipping arrangements for special shipments with supervisors/lead hands to meet customer requirements. Continually reviews back-orders, assigning product replenishment according to customer requirements, volume of stock received and distribution availability. Participates in periodic cycle counts as required.
  4. Coordinates scheduling of special requests from Sales. Communicates with floor staff and supervisors to meet requests without negatively impacting production flows.
  5. Assists with shipment tracking and tracing requests as well as reverse logistics requirements and general mailbox management.
  6. Performs shipment tracking requests for both internal and external customers. Arranges special shipping requests for items such as shows and returns as requested by internal customers.

The Successful Candidate Will Have:

  1. College degree or diploma in Business, Logistics, Production, Supply/Chain Management or equivalent.
  2. 2 years of related work experience in warehouse planning and scheduling.
  3. Knowledge of MS Office – Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  4. Experience with Warehouse Management System (WMS) and handheld devices preferred.
  5. Excellent problem-solving skills required to prioritize work tasks and assignments.
  6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to share information with internal and external stakeholders.
