Essential Job Functions

  • Manage performance of technical staff in relation to production expectations
  • Achievement of KPIs related to production and quality of repairs
  • Ensure department activities are performed in compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Make recommendations as to the hiring, termination, advancement, promotion or any other change of status for department employees (including department supervisors) 
  • Team with Human Resources to recruit, select, hire and train new employees
  • Ensure supervisors assume responsibility and utilize existing controls to maintain accurate technician inventory levels
  • Train, supervise, and delegate work assignments to department supervisors
  • Monitors work flow & adjusts employee schedules accordingly to meet company objectives
  • Partner with Human Resources in addressing team member issues/problems/concerns
  • Provide coaching/counseling in concert with Human Resources
  • Complete performance evaluations of department supervisors
  • Oversee department planning and policy making. Recommend and implement actions/changes needed to increase efficiencies within the department
  • Monitor the status and prioritization of work orders
  • Perform quality inspections for all completed processes as well as random quality inspections on completed processes of subordinates for purposes of evaluating technician and supervisor performance
  • Ensure supervisors review Quality Control reports to determine and address areas of concern   
  • Complete and review Rework documentation and address with subordinates as necessary 
  • Perform additional projects and/or assist on daily departmental responsibilities as needed 


  • Degree in electronics and/or management preferred. In lieu of degree, must have commensurate experience in Production Management or Technical Management
  • Must have demonstrated experience and success in Production Management and KPI achievement
  • At least 2 years hands-on experience in electronic repair related position
  • Must be able to think strategically & establish direction
  • Effective staff  management and communication skills
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Ability to balance and coordinate workload for multiple teams
  • Possess good organizational, decision-making, and logical troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to read and interpret parts diagrams and technical manuals
  • Detail-oriented
  • Ability to learn new applications and programs
  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds to a height of 5 feet 
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
