The Systems Administrator will provide StoreConnect platform expertise to branch operations during platform installation and service calls and assist in the troubleshooting of networking and security issues at customer sites. Will provide technical expertise on the StoreConnect embedded platform throughout its lifecycle. This role will provide remote support for manufacturing build and test; the development and maintenance of deployment scripts, as well as, using these scripts to keep the installed platform up to date.

What You'll Do...          

  • The first line of technical support for installation and service of the StoreConnect platform at customer sites, including triage of software, networking, and security issues
  • Development and maintenance of deployment software used to update StoreConnect software, firmware, and platform configuration at customer installations
  • Work with the StoreConnect engineering team to coordinate the rollout of new software campaigns to on-premises equipment
  • Train members of the Hussmann Contact Center and branch operations on rules of engagement with regards to StoreConnect on-premises equipment
  • Submit bug reports using JIRA related to the StoreConnect platform to the StoreConnect engineering team

What You'll Bring...

  • Associates degree in Linux System Administrations; Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science preferred
  • 2+ years proven experience with Linux system administration troubleshooting, including script development and maintenance
  • Experience with networking: HTTPS, TCP/IP required
  • Familiarity with instrumentation and data acquisition systems (IoT)
  • Experience with bug reporting systems; JIRA preferred
  • Knowledge of security protocols: SSH and VPN preferred
  • Cloud computing and cloud hosting services; AWS experience preferred
  • Experience with programming languages (especially C and python) is a plus
  • Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, supporting multiple concurrent projects
  • Ability to take initiative and effect change
  • Strong interpersonal skills and problem-solving skills; be driven to build the tools the team needs and be ready to support the deployed on-premises StoreConnect platform
