What You’ll Get to Do:

A successful Sr. User Researcher Lead who has experience working in a user-centric, agile design process flow to plan and develop product features. This position is responsible for defining and conducting research studies that drive tactical and strategic product and design decisions. The User researcher has a strong, yet nimble grasp of theories, concepts and methods of design research and user-centered design which can be applied in a variety of contexts.

  • Co-ordinate, conduct and moderate research studies that drive tactical and strategic product and design decisions
  • Manage team tasks, workflows, processes, tools, deliverables, and maintaining overall team success
  • Create research deliverables, including but not limited to personas, user journeys, work flows, user requirements, etc.
  • Present qualitative and quantitative research findings to Program Management Team and key stakeholders in compelling and creative ways
  • Workflow modeling and prototyping in close collaboration with Product Design team


What You’ll Bring:

Education & Experience

  • Four-year College Degree in Human Factors, Psychology, Design, HCI and a minimum of six (6) years of experience with User Research; or a minimum of eight (8) years of applied UX Research and Design
  • Required experience using qualitative and quantitative research methods to define user flows, advanced customer insights, business strategies, and market analysis
  • Required experience managing and mentoring other research staff as it applies to workflows, daily tasks, performance objectives, personal growth
  • Preferred experience with Lean or Agile research methodologies in various business models (SaaS, B2G), dispersed across the country
  • Preferred experience with usability testing methods and best practices, such as User Testing
  • Preferred experience with data analytic tools, such as Tableau
  • Preferred familiarity with UI design and prototyping tools such as: Axure, Sketch, InVision, or other relevant tools

  • Ability to empathetically present and communicate research findings and strategies to customers and stakeholders

   Communications:

  • Highly collaborative
  • Clear, concise and timely communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to remain organized and self-directed in a fast-paced environment
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong storytelling experience is highly desired
  • Must communicate appropriate information accurately and clearly
  • Must have the ability to effectively and appropriately interface and communicate with a variety of individuals or groups on a frequent basis                    

  Other Requirements:

  • Ability to travel to customer locations as required of the position; up to 25% annually
