As a Sr. Marketing Manager, you are the strategic partner working with cross-functional teams to identify and deliver marketing messages, content and materials that improve brand and product awareness for multiple Hussmann product and services groups. This role directly supports the Hussmann Retail Services and Connected Solutions organizations, which includes Aperion omni-channel solutions, StoreConnect predictive actionable intelligence technology, the Retail Performance Management business, Door and Glass business and Hussmann’s nationwide Service and Construction business team.

This role is part of the Corporate Marketing Communications team, reporting to the Director of Corporate Marketing Communications with a dotted line to the Retail and Connected Solutions business leaders.

Job Description Duties include:

  • Ownership of the marketing strategy for the Retail and Connected Solutions business unit including the design, creation, and delivery of digital marketing programs and campaigns.
  • Collaborate with business unit leaders, to identify the marketing needs of the various business and prioritize those needs of the business to create an action plan to address the most important needs of the business effectively.
  • Create and own the annual marketing budgets for each of the various business units and   assist in forecasting the requirements for them.
  • Work with executives in the business to ghostwrite articles for various publications, to include social media posts.
  • Create thought leadership pieces and materials for various digital platforms (Aperion, StoreConnect, etc.).
  • Manage external resources, including 3rd party vendors, as required, to accomplish marketing objectives.
  • Manage and prioritize the strategic initiatives for multiple Retail Services projects, ensuring timely and consistent external marketing and other communication, as well as leading the coordination of internal marketing and communication with the Corporate Communication Program Management team.
  • Develop and lead the integration of messaging and market position strategy encompassing all business unites and market sectors within Hussmann Retail Services.
  • Coordinate with the Corporate Strategy team, the research and analysis of relevant digital based offerings in the industry and customer trends on market, to make strategically informed recommendations and decisions for marketing and messaging.
  • Measure the effectiveness of marketing efforts through various analytical channels.
  • Update and/or coordinate Web, Social Media and Online content for Retail and Connected Services

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Masters Preferred
  • 10 + years of marketing communications experience required
  • 5 - 7 years progressive digital product marketing experience required
  • Proficiency with suite of Microsoft Office programs
  • Graphic design experience including working knowledge of Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator
  • Proven experience with web development and content management publishing systems, SEO and Google Analytics and software (CMS). HTML and other Web development coding experience a plus
  • Experience leading marketing teams through a digital transformation in a retail or commercial/industrial company
  • Experience with subscription-based services or software as a service
  • Previous food retail experience preferred
  • Experience with marketing fundamentals of a service operations business and with demonstrated profitable service agreement growth
  • Ability to work across multiple businesses units in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Strong organizational, prioritization and decision-making skills
  • Strong verbal communication skills couple with analytical mindset
  • Up to 15% travel
