Sr. Financial Analyst (PENA)
Primary Role and Responsibilities
- Working closely with all department heads in the preparation of annual business plans (budgets) including capital investment.
- Build and manage monthly capital expenditure forecasting process and own achievement of the budget/forecast.
- Provide reporting back to management locally and in Japan regarding a comparison of actual to forecast, prior forecast and business plan.
- Additional projects and/or ad hoc analysis as requested by either CFO or the executive team.
- Support of the monthly financial close process.
- Work in collaboration, and proactively communicate, with Engineering, Accounting, Finance, and Department managers.
- Build and manage monthly capital expenditure forecasting process and own achievement of the budget/forecast.
- Maintain forecast files that include commitments and payments for capital projects vs budget.
- Provide variance analysis of actual vs forecast capital expenditures.
- Perform ROI analysis on planned capital expenditures to better assist leadership team with investment prioritization.
Education and Qualifications
- BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
- Advanced literacy with Microsoft Office, especially Excel spreadsheets and database functions
- 5+ years of related experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of SAP, Oracle or another fully integrated ERP systems
- Working knowledge of accrual-based accounting within a manufacturing environment
- Understanding and interpreting complex financial analysis

- Strong customer service skills including excellent verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills
- Capable of handling confidential information in a responsible manner
- Responds to inquiries from Operations managers, production control, finance in a timely manner
- Flexibility and Multi-tasking capabilities
- Highly organized and able to follow a systematic method of performing a task
- Ability to collaborate and form teams
- Ability to work with domestic and international teams
