Sr. Financial Analyst (PENA)

Primary Role and Responsibilities

  • Working closely with all department heads in the preparation of annual business plans (budgets) including capital investment.
  • Build and manage monthly capital expenditure forecasting process and own achievement of the budget/forecast.
  • Provide reporting back to management locally and in Japan regarding a comparison of actual to forecast, prior forecast and business plan.
  • Additional projects and/or ad hoc analysis as requested by either CFO or the executive team.
  • Support of the monthly financial close process.
  • Work in collaboration, and proactively communicate, with Engineering, Accounting, Finance, and Department managers.
  • Build and manage monthly capital expenditure forecasting process and own achievement of the budget/forecast.
  • Maintain forecast files that include commitments and payments for capital projects vs budget.
  • Provide variance analysis of actual vs forecast capital expenditures.
  • Perform ROI analysis on planned capital expenditures to better assist leadership team with investment prioritization.

Education and Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
  • Advanced literacy with Microsoft Office, especially Excel spreadsheets and database functions
  • 5+ years of related experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of SAP, Oracle or another fully integrated ERP systems
  • Working knowledge of accrual-based accounting within a manufacturing environment
  • Understanding and interpreting complex financial analysis

  • Strong customer service skills including excellent verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Capable of handling confidential information in a responsible manner
  • Responds to inquiries from Operations managers, production control, finance in a timely manner
  • Flexibility and Multi-tasking capabilities
  • Highly organized and able to follow a systematic method of performing a task
  • Ability to collaborate and form teams
  • Ability to work with domestic and international teams
