What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Customer management including requirement elicitation and managing product plan
  • Support customer deliveries including unit preparation and testing
  • Collaborate with business development team on new product offerings for pursuits
  • This role reports directly to the Head of Applications Engineering

What You’ll Bring:
Education & Experience:

  • Four-year College Degree in at least one STEM major - Science; Technology; Engineering; Math - and a minimum of five years of experience is preferred; or a minimum of ten years of customer facing, electronics product life cycle management experience is preferred.
  • Experience with system level design work and solving complex problems independently.
  • Experience in coordinating technical activities in conjunction with Lead Systems Engineers assigned to the project.
  • Experience in coordinating, delegating and prioritizing development and functional activities, while managing critical open action items.
  • Experience ensuring compliance with TS16949, APQP, Customer and Company processes and procedures.
  • Experience interfacing with Customers on technical project issues.
  • Proficiency with the computer applications appropriate to the position and assignment.
  • Experience in coordinating project activities in conjunction with Validation, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and across Global locations.
  • Experience in leading and coordinating Change Request Authorizations and Engineering Change Orders.
  • Experience providing programmatic coordination among Systems, Electrical, Software and Mechanical disciplines.
  • Experience with the design and implementation methods and procedures for new product launch or mass production.
  • Experience in defining, designing, developing, testing and deploying telematics software products in Automotive domain.
  • Experience with Firmware Over The Air
  • Updates, device management and Cloud Services.
  • Familiarity with ASPICE v3.1 and ISO 26262:2018
  • Ability to understand requirements in ambiguous problem spaces.
  • Proven track record in working with customers, engineers in defining system requirements from high level product specifications.
  • Proven track record in ensuring team successfully accomplishes stated project or functional goals and objectives.
  • Participate in the innovation process, bringing your unique technical view on new concepts to the table.
  • Collaborate with other members of the engineering and manufacturing teams to optimize components for maximum performance.
  • General interest in technology, ability to learn and adapt new technology and architectures.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to converse orally and in writing with global team members.
  • Effectively communicate with developers and management to convey the pros and cons of various approaches.
  • Work with technical architects and developers to finalize the architecture and design.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to peers.
  • Ability to travel within the US as required for customer support activities
  • Candidates can be located in Farmington Hills, MI or Peachtree, GA.
