Join a dynamic engineering team developing the next generation of In-Flight Entertainment systems!!


Your responsibilities will include: leading the development of new power supply solutions to provide on-board power and in-flight entertainment hardware including AC/DC power supplies, power inverters, and high-voltage DC/DC conversion (LLC and flyback). As part of this job, you will be responsible for design, test, and documentation. You will also be required to guide junior engineers.


  • Power control for USB Type C and PD 2.0.
  • Experience designing with GaN FETs is desired.
  • Inverter design.
  • DSP and FPGA-base design, especially for power converter control.
  • Hardware development and planning including layout, analysis, evaluation, prototype build, and test. 

Strong emphasis on:

  • Lead efforts to determine the correct power supply topologies for new designs.
  • Be responsible for major sections of a power supply design.
  • Direct the analysis of test data.
  • Ability to lead root cause analyses and verify their solutions.
  • Assure compliance with all product requirements. 
  • Select hardware and material assuring compliance with specifications and product requirements.
  • Performing qualitative and quantitative testing to determine properties, characteristics, the performance of materials, circuits, mechanisms, assemblies, and systems.
  • Verify embedded firmware and higher-level software functionality.

What You Will Bring to the Table:

  • Ability to develop requirements from specifications, oral instructions, or preliminary sketches.
  • Ability to lead the analysis and design of power supply circuits, as well as the implementation of test methods and procedures.
  • Proven ability to prepare technical reports and documentation.
  • Ability to resolve a wide range of design challenges. 


  • BS in Electrical Engineering (MS or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering preferred).
  • Ten or more years of experience in the following areas:
    • Design of AC/DC Power supplies.
    • Power Factor Correction
    • High-voltage DC/DC converters (LLC and flyback).
    • Inverter design.
  • Additional experience desired in either:
    • Power control for USB Type C and PD 2.0.
    • DSP or FPGA-base design, especially for power converter control.
  • Extensive experience with analog simulators. 


  • Ability to travel to Japan and other domestic and international locations as required approximately 5% of the time
