Additional activities include working with the Information Technology team to understand the information systems and the interdependencies of the software systems used for reporting. The successful candidate for this position will report directly to our Director of Finance and play an instrumental role in the financial future of the company.

Essential Duties:

  • Develops data models to meet the needs of the organization's information systems.
  • Maintains data integrity by working to eliminate redundancy.
  • Supports cross-functional activities and working sessions during projects' design and implementation phases.
  • Maintaining, testing and improving business and systems operations.
  • Acting as a liaison between business and IT groups.
  • Creating monthly performance reports.
  • A specialist on complex technical and business matters.
  • Manages the flow of information between departments using relational databases.
  • Collects and studies operational and performance data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Researches, analyzes, and recommends changes to an organization's business processes to improve operational efficiencies, quality, service, and profitability.
  • Creates flowcharts, process maps, and diagrams.
  • May deliver training to impacted business units.
  • Identifying and addressing operational, financial and technological risks within the business.
  • Stays informed of the ways the organization uses its data.
  • Identifying and capitalizing on improvement opportunities.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Communicating ideas and viewpoints to senior management.
  • Identifying innovative ways to increase customer satisfaction.
  • May assume a team lead role for the work group.
  • Evaluating the performance of project teams to ensure that targets and deadlines are met.
  • Designs and prepares documentation, training materials, and communications supporting new processes.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements:

  • To ensure the health and safety in the workplace and for the protection of our employees, wearing PPE is a requirement for some roles at PENA and may include equipment such as a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, bump cap, and a full hazmat suit that includes a respirator.

Qualifications:  Requirements - Required and/or Preferred

Education:

  • Basic/Required:  Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, AIS, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field from a four-year College or University
  • Preferred:  None

Essential Qualifications:

  • Strong project leader with excellent organizational and verbal skills.
  • Minimum of 7+ years of direct experience on accounting, finance, or IT teams, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Advanced literacy with Microsoft Office, especially Excel spreadsheets and database functions.
  • FP&A and/or Cost Accounting experience.
  • Knowledge of SAP, Oracle, or another fully integrated ERP system.
  • Working knowledge of accrual-based accounting within a manufacturing environment.
  • Able to work with all levels of management as high as CEO and as low as first level manager.
  • Strong customer service skills including excellent verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Interprets procedures and governmental regulations.
  • Capable of handling confidential information in a responsible manner.
  • Responds to inquiries from operations managers, production control, finance in a timely manner.
  • Flexibility and multi-tasking capabilities.
  • Highly organized and able to follow a systematic method of performing a task.
  • Ability to collaborate and form teams.
  • Ability to work with domestic and international teams.
  • Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English.
