About Yohana:
Yohana is on a mission to help people find more balance and prioritize well-being. We create integrated software, services, and hardware specifically for modern families, to alleviate their mental load so they can feel present and connected. We are a fully funded independent subsidiary of Panasonic, one of the oldest purpose-driven brands in the world, with leadership from big tech (Google, Apple, Microsoft) as well as hypergrowth startups (Nest, Waymo, Casper).
First up is our Yohana Membership, which just launched in Seattle. It’s a personal assistant service designed for busy families, especially moms, to help lighten the mental load of having too much to do. It’s the first of many meaningful things we’re working on.
We’re building a positive, supportive culture from the ground up, where individuals and teams grow together. Maybe you should join us.
About The Role:
We are looking for a multi-talented UX designer to lead design efforts building tools and products that empower a best in class service experience. As a member of the Yohana Core Design team, you’ll work closely with a multi-disciplinary design team, and our Product and Engineering teams to bring a consumer service product to life. You’re passionate about design details and think about end to end experiences. You are comfortable rolling up your sleeves, and working independently under tight deadlines while guiding peers and mentoring other designers to drive towards a coherent and delightful product experience.
What You’ll Get To Do:
Scope, estimate, prioritize design work in collaboration with engineering, program management, and product team leads
Assure consistency and synergy across multiple designers’ work
Develop and grow a design system to establish scalable principles, patterns, and components
Conceptualize, define and design features across digital and service touchpoints
Work closely with Research partners to plan and develop a process for continued learning and validation of design decisions
Identify, develop, and iterate on collaborative processes with Engineers throughout the design process
Inspire, challenge, and motivate a team of designers to think creatively, collaboratively, and holistically
Deconstruct challenges and advocate for simple and easy-to-use interaction workflows across the product and service
What You’ll Bring:
7+ years of interaction design experience, preferably designing tools or enterprise products
A 4-year degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience
Exceptional interaction and systems design skills
Expert knowledge of Figma and prototyping tools
Strong ability to communicate and present design rationale with the internal team, stakeholders, and leadership
Comfortable in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, agile environment with multiple stakeholders
Experience working in an Agile development environment using tools like Jira and Confluence
A portfolio URL or PDF to submit with application that demonstrates systematic thinking, strong visual hierarchy, and continued iteration on designs
