What You'll Get To Do:

  • Manage and track engineering projects
  • Lead planning and implementation to align scope and affirm project processes that will be followed by all parties
  • Create and share project schedules and updates to stake holders (Internal business teams, Factory and 3rd Party Vendors)
  • Track team activities to assure project is on schedule and monitor for possible corrective action to achieve project completion goals
  • Create and manage and share project summary documentation for stake holders
  • Hold project review meetings with the team and stakeholders throughout and at the close of project to review project status and team activities
  • Identify project inefficiencies and problem areas for future project improvement
  • Maintain project documentation and templates

What You'll Bring:

Scope:

  • Manage Engineering projects for Toughbook solutions. 
  • Lead planning discussions and monitor project progress and create documentation for stake holder updates (Internal business teams, Factory and 3rd Party Vendors)
  • Work closely with Engineering Management to coordinate project resources, Engineering feasibility, Technical Evaluations, Quality Requirements, Customer use case assessments and Development Processes
  • Communicate directly with Factory Engineering, 3rd Party Vendor Engineering and Internal teams to ensure project progress and successful development

Education and Experience: 

  • Must have a BS in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering degree from an accredited university
  • PMP Certification required
  • Strong working knowledge is required:
  • MS Project Management application software knowledge required
  • MS Office Applications - MS Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Word and MS Visio
  • Experience with product development processes
  • Knowledge of Windows and Android operating systems
  • Minimum of 5 - 10 years of Engineering Project Management experience (10+ years preferred)

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment to meet aggressive goals with multiple competing priorities.
  • Must be detail oriented, analytical, and organized as well as a self-starter with the ability to think creatively.
