The Senior Financial Analyst is a key player on the Financial Reporting, Planning and Analysis (FPA) team, as well as an integral contributor to the broader finance organization. The FPA team is accountable for providing meaningful month-end reporting, innovative analysis and trending, and efficient structure and guidance for the long-range strategic plan and annual plan processes. The Senior Financial Analyst supports routine and ad-hoc reporting needs for internal customers, as well as Panasonic; it is important for this role to focus on internal customers and stakeholders. As Hussmann Finance positions itself as a source of innovation, the Senior Financial Analyst is encouraged to present new ideas for process improvement and automation, as well as reporting innovation.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Support monthly/quarterly and annual analysis and reporting requirements including monthly operating reviews, quarterly board meeting and supplemental reporting needs as required by our Parent Company including:
  • Insight on financial results, specifically variance drivers compared to prior forecast, budget, and prior year

  • Analysis of key metrics to determine accuracy of reported amounts and findings related to exceptions

  • Miscellaneous and ad hoc reports and analysis as requested

  • Monthly management reporting packages – bridges, commentary, and other relevant visuals and information

  • Forecast Accuracy reporting and upkeep, partnering with CFO and Executive Leadership on metrics and deviation parameters

  • Serve as liaison to business unit partners to ensure accurate and meaningful reporting and analysis
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet forecast and cash flow statement
  • Review and analyze consolidated balance sheet

  • Meet with business partners and corporate functions to gather critical information and insight

  • Complete the Balance Sheet forecast and provide a detailed free cash flow breakdown and recommendation to VP and CFO

  • Manage monthly Finance Calendar, updating key deliverables, recurring management meetings, and Cold Chain Solutions deadlines
  • Assist with development of mid-term plans and annual business plans
  • Help track key financial and operational performance indicators (KPI’s)
  • Oversee Headcount reporting, updating the monthly forecast for changes in Sales and Labor costs and/or other known factors that may impact headcount fluctuations or indicate potential swings in labor force
  • Assist with special projects as needed
  • Handle multiple ad hoc, time sensitive requests from Panasonic and/or Cold Chain Storage

  • Assist with financial modeling/projections for potential acquisitions Collaborate with BU 10 Controllers to financially model base business and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 7 + years industry/relevant experience
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; advance knowledge of Microsoft Excel a plus
  • Extensive experience with financial ERP and Financial Consolidation Systems
  • Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) experience a plus
  • One Stream experience a plus
  • Detail-oriented and deadline sensitive in a fast-paced environment
