Taking ownership of the mechanisms, calculation, communication and reporting of product standard costs. Organizing and leading the annual standard cost roll process. As key liaison to productivity organizations, validate and track productivity projects related to the Chino facility. Participate in general accounting responsibilities as it relates to the total plant. Proactively identify and capture improvements in financial, management, and manufacturing operations. Cross train within the Shared Services Group and other groups within the total organization. 

  • Compile financial information including General Ledger journal preparation and account reconciliation
  • Participate in the monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing process
  • Complete balance sheet and reserve reconciliation
  • Assist in development and maintenance of financial databases
  • Participate, coordinate, and act in a leadership role in the annual physical inventory.
  • Prepare financial and operational reports/analysis for management review; makes recommendations for improvement
  • Lead the Capital Expenditure Requisition approval and tracking process
  • Review, investigate and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents and reports
  • Lead and participate in special projects with cross-functional teams
  • Investigate and recommend process and profitability improvement initiatives
  • Utilize a variety of systems/applications to secure, consolidate and evaluate manufacturing and financial information
  • Participate with the internal and external process

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required, Masters preferred
  • 3 + years accounting/finance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Must have experience in ERP systems, with preferred experience with an implementation
  • Leadership skills and experience working in cross-functional teams is a plus
  • Possess strong analytical skills and good business sense.
  • Experience in planning, forecasting and budget development
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, detail oriented and highly motivated.
  • Proficiency in core Microsoft Office applications with advanced skills in Excel
  • Independent and self-motivated
  • Ability to work well in a matrix organization
  • Very little to no travel required
  • Willingly embraces changes needed to adapt to new circumstances
