To provide value-added support and account management from receiving new orders, working with vendors and all parties involved to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.  Drive new global procurement scheme with clients to meet client needs and expand PPA business. 

NOTE – The candidate selected for this position may initially work out of the Torrance, CA office, but will be expected to relocate after one year of employment to work out of an office in McAllen, TX or Sparks, NV to locally support key clients.

 What You'll Get To Do:

  • Proactively propose to improve, develop, and expand the global procurement scheme through purchase and supply of raw materials, components and devices utilizing internal/outside business associates
  • Communicate with business associates (customers, suppliers, logistics service providers) smoothly with problem-solving mind
  • Proactively propose customer needs and provide value added service to consolidate procurement functions of Panasonic factories to maximize productivity
  • Monitor to control inventory and delivery, checking inventory and balance purchase order status, negotiating with supplier and customers and cooperating with business associates (warehouse, logistics companies) ,and proactively propose to improve PSI.
  • Make quotation with formula provided by supervisor
  • Summary monthly P&L and balance sheet figures for account.
  • Make and promote recovery plan if necessary
  • Promote automation to improve of accuracy and workforce efficiently by reducing manual job
  • Maintain the computer system master data (customer, vendor & product) including price, minimum order quantity, delivery lead time, etc.
  • Ensure timely collection of account receivables from customers
  • Ensure timely payment of invoices to suppliers, freight & warehouse companies
  • Collect/Analyze logistics data and information to improve operation with supervisor
  • Collect information related to Import/Export regulation to make internal rule with supervisor
  • Proactively propose to improve trading & logistics operation.

What You'll Bring:

Education & Experience:  

  • Prefer 5-10 years Global procurement experience
  • BA\BS in International Business preferred
  • Must be proficient with MS Office suite, particularly with Excel
  • Experience with ERP systems preferred
  • Must have the ability to effectively communicate in English (Listening, speaking, writing & reading).  Communication skill in Japanese preferred
  • Occasional travel
  • Team-work spirit
  • Ability to work extended shifts, evenings and weekends as business needs require
