Create New Business Sales (65%)
- Generate new customer opportunities by identifying key decision-makers, evaluate potential business opportunities, and ultimately drive new revenue for the company
- Develop business relationships with identified/targeted customers and partners through communication and frequent interactions
- Assist/Create the development of sales and business strategy centered around current and future capabilities to present to customers
- Develop presentation strategies and prepare/present proposals to prospects
- Visit potential customers and present company capabilities and solutions offerings
- Attain a minimum of 100% of the assigned sales quota
- Maintain records of customer information & performance. Establish goals and track performance to objectives
- Manage customer service issues to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction and retention
- Maintain database of calls to prospects for future use and communications
- Other duties as assigned
Product/Service Offering Knowledge Development (10%)
- Maintain a high level of product knowledge and application
- Maintain a high level of competitive product awareness
- Fundamentally understand relevant technologies
- Develop & maintain high level of knowledge in specific needs of the company (focused on vertical market sectors)
- Stay with changes in technologies and communicate this knowledge to managers as well as prospective customers
- Attain firm understanding of product/service lifecycle
Sales Meetings/Conferences/Travel (15%)
- Attend National Sales Meetings annually
- Participate in training seminars/conferences as needed
- Provide facility tours/presentations for prospective and current customers
Intercompany Collaboration/Implementation of Programs (10%)
- Participate in meetings/discussions with all levels of management
- Work alongside department managers to attain and maintain knowledge of operations
- Solicit involvement and feedback from relevant departments relating to new products/service offerings
Educational/Experiential Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2-5 years of demonstrated experience in sales, marketing or related field.
- Must be able to think strategically & establish direction
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- General knowledge of electronic products
- Ability to efficiently use Microsoft Office and Windows products
- Possess good organizational and decision-making skills
- Prior customer interaction experience
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Ability to balance and coordinate workload for multiple projects
- Highly motivated and detail-oriented
- Ability to learn new applications and programs
