Responsibilities:

  • Support customers and local branches to maintain EPA Compliance under Section 608 of the Clean Air Act
  • Ensure compliance practices are followed as required for all refrigerant events, including the installation and removal of refrigeration appliances, leak repairs, and verification testing
  • Input and maintain records required by the district or customer tracking systems to keep complete and accurate records for compliance
  • Ensure that compliance standards are timely fulfilled, informing customer of any potentially inaccurate data, charge sizes, refrigerant type, missing appliances, ensure that the records are complete and accurate
  • Track and maintain service and installation employees’ EPA certifications to ensure currency
  • Track and maintain mobile fleet refrigerant transportation records in the service and installation departments
  • Track and maintain stored warehouse refrigerant records in the service and installation departments
  • Train district service and installation employees on compliance, handling, and customer requirements for proper use of refrigerants
  • Develop accountability process that track employee and customer score card measurements
  • Additional duties as required

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • High school diploma, college degree preferred (environmental science/natural resources)
  • Certification in EPA refrigeration management preferred
  • Proficient in use of refrigerant management/tracking software (example: Trakref)
  • Understanding of refrigerant management and refrigerant EPA compliance
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple, competing priorities/task in a fast-paced work environment
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong organizational, time management and customer service skills
  • Working knowledge of basic refrigeration and/or knowledge of commercial refrigeration and HVAC/R is preferred
  • Basic math skills including an understanding of weight, measurement, and volume
