Responsibilities: Participate in daily cycle count within the stockroom Prepare for and participate in annual exemption testing or full inventory Must be able to receive and transfer parts using the computer and bar code gun to appropriate areas for put away/pick/distribution Must understand the receiving function and how it impacts the procurement process Operate a forklift and over head crane safely when needed Safely use power tools as required All system transactions must be accurate and all paperwork completed and filed daily Pull parts for production to be issued on kits; Issue Kanban or Hot parts Restock returned parts from production areas Support Lean Initiatives through 5S, Lean Six Sigma, ISO-9001 etc. Perform other duties as assigned Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent required, some college preferred Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Office required, Baan preferred Must be able to read, understand and convert units of measurement (ex: feet, inches, each, roll, etc.) Three to five years experience working in a warehouse or stockroom/shipping department is required. Willing to cross-train and work when needed across all areas of stockroom, shipping and receiving and the copper crib Must be able to safely use power tools; i.e., saw, air guns, and nail guns Must have the ability to safely operate a sitting and standing forklift and over head crane Must be able to perform work responsibilities with minimal supervision Must be flexible and available to work frequent overtime; as required by production needs Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Position requires knowledge of office equipment, i.e. computer, calculator, hand scanner May receive work assignments through oral and/or written instructions Observe and follow all safety rules and regulations Must be able to work with all levels of employees within plant/office and external customers Must work well in a team environment Must be able to accurately record and transfer information and/or transactions Must be able to push/pull a fully loaded cart (maximum of 125 lbs.) Physical Capabilities Based on Daily Work Schedule of 5 day work week, 8 - 10 hour shift: Sitting 0 - 1 Hours Walking on Concrete Floor 8 - 10 hrs. Standing on Concrete Floor 8 - 10 hrs Lifting/Carrying Up to a maximum of 25 lbs. frequently (over 25 lbs. with assistance) Bending Frequently Climbing Occasionally to frequently up to 12 feet Crawling Occasionally to frequently Squatting Frequently Squatting Frequently Reaching Frequently Twisting Frequently Push/Pull Up to a maximum of 125 lbs. frequently
