Essential Duties:

  • Manage overall quality evaluation; SQC (Supplier Quality Control), IQC (Incoming Quality Control), PQC (Process Quality Control), OQC (Outgoing Quality Control) and battery reliability.
  • Manage preventive quality control for defects.
  • Manage and handle reducing defects and quality complaints from customer.
  • Build and maintain quality control process and ISO quality management.
  • Implementation and management of ISO 9001.
  • Conduct failure analysis and corrective action plans (FECA).
  • Develop and maintain the standards for product quality.
  • Manage quality assurance for battery production.
  • Manage quality loss cost.
  • Establish and maintain product quality documentation system.
  • Supervise quality maintenance unit.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Supervisory Duties:

  • Supervise a quality team consisting of engineers, technicians, inspectors, and clerks.
  • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these members.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems following the company's established policies and procedures.

Qualifications:  Requirements - Required and/or Preferred

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related field) from four-year College or University.

Essential Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in quality management and quality control.
  • 5+ years of experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment with products including batteries, electronic components, etc.
  • Extensive experience utilizing quality management tools including SPC, FTA, FMEA, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • M.S. in a technical discipline preferred.
  • Familiarity with TS16949 automotive quality standards.
  • Experience creating and maintaining an ISO Quality System.
