What You'll Get To Do:
Projects include and are not limited to negotiations planning and execution, management of deadlines and requirements, and prioritization of the activities for the business division. This role is also responsible partner with department leaders where needed and ensure that the portfolio of projects is well maintained and on time. This position will be responsible for a variety of projects for which strong conceptual, technical, analytical, financial and leadership skills are required.
Essential Duties:
- Manage day-to-day communication & negotiation with Tesla Energy team, including delivery, quality, engineering & business issues
- Support new business development activities; summarizes customer requests, inquiries and direct back office support (technical, Credit, SCM)
- Serve as project manager or backup for assigned projects: manage agendas/minutes, tracks tasks, issues, and action items, escalate risks and issues as necessary to senior leadership
- Aid in the drafting and negotiation of new supply and sales contracts; aid in revision and renewal when necessary
- Acknowledge customers’ requirement from both business and engineering standpoint and work with internal team closely to make Business Division strategy, related to future production investments, plant and equipment expansion, and manufacturing planning
- Other job may be assigned by leadership.
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Engineering
Essential Qualifications:
- Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing and speaking English.
- A passion to serve the customer, which has played out in customer-facing roles such as consulting, support, or ideally project management.
- Ability to cooperate and work with related departments including those overseas in Japan.
- Must have exceptional communication skills.
- Travel frequently to meet customers.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced project management experience, including multiple stakeholders and dedicated budgets.
- An ability to quickly communicate complex ideas around a technical topic, ideally on the fly at a whiteboard.
- Must be confident providing knowledge to a highly skilled and experienced audience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word and have the ability to use the computer to complete online learning requirements for -specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment.
Panasonic Energy of North America (PENA) is collaborating with Tesla Motors, Inc. in a large-scale advanced battery manufacturing facility known as the Gigafactory near Reno, Nevada which is known for its quality of life and expansive outdoor adventures. Panasonic manufactures and supplies cylindrical lithium-ion cells for the world’s leading electric vehicle manufacturer, Tesla Motors, Inc. Based on the battery demand from Tesla, the Gigafactory is producing cells which will double the world’s current production.
