Job Summary:

The PLM Systems Admin will support the design, development, implementation, optimization, and maintenance of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Product Data Management (PDM) tools across multiple lines of business at Panasonic.  Additionally, the individual identifies gaps and provides technical expertise in business requirements for system functional specifications and scales new and current systems, processes, and procedures in a cost-effective manner.  The Admin is expected to learn processes rapidly in a high speed and high manufacturing setting while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver against deadlines that align with the Digital Transformation Group goals and initiatives.



Essential Duties:

  • Support the design, development, implementation, optimization, and maintenance of PDM, MCAD, ECAD, and PLM tools
  • Collaborate with team and SME’s from supporting groups to create systems training resources.
  • Analyze and optimize processes to maximize safety, quality, cost, and delivery
  • Track team activities, tasks with a focus on accountability
  • Monitor and audit data to ensure tasks and targets are on track and achieved
  • Coordinate and facilitate meaningful collaboration with cross-functional teams related to PLM, PDM, and CAD
  • Apply people and technical knowledge to develop teams, and innovate products
  • Provide outward communications, training, status updates, and metrics
  • Work as one member of a specific team to innovate, develop, validate, and improve processes


Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements:

  • To ensure the health and safety in the workplace and for the protection of our employees, wearing PPE is a possibility and may include equipment such as a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, bump cap, and a full hazmat suit that includes a respirator.

Qualifications:  Requirements - Required and/or Preferred



  • Basic:  High School Diploma or GED
  • Preferred:  Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Business Intelligence or equivalent required



Essential Qualifications:

  • Experience facilitating and leading training initiatives
  • Experience with CAD vault organization and librarian duties
  • Managing common parts, assemblies and metadata
  • Managing ECAD Electrical and PCB libraries
  • Experience driving adoption of CAD policies and procedures across the organization
  • Familiar with PLM systems and technologies
  • Strong team working skills at all levels of the organization, which includes working with engineers and laborers to understand challenges and work towards solutions
  • Experience breaking down high-level issues into addressable action items
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience driving end point adoption and user acceptance.
  • Lean Six Sigma belt certification, GETol, ANSI Y14.5, ISO experience
  • Experience with mechanical design, engineering, quality processes, and related tools
  • Experience working in a high speed/high volume manufacturing setting
  • Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Product Data Management (PDM), and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) experience preferred
  • Resilient, self-motived and able to work well under pressure
  • Advanced skills in MS Office (Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook) preferred
