The Manager of MES & Manufacturing Systems in Production Engineering will have responsibility for leading, developing and efficiently operating all aspects of the site Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and other Manufacturing System in line with corporate guidelines & procedures. Performs duties in line with best IT / manufacturing practices; leads and directs the work of assigned system engineers.Primary Role and Responsibilities
·Understand the manufacturing workflow, including process automation, at the manufacturing facility and identify areas where MES could enable process improvement and internal/customer facing reporting.
·Understand data integrity and computer system validation compliance requirements and regulations, applying them in process discussions and improvement opportunities. Ability to understand changes that impact validated state of application and underlying infrastructure.
·Coordinate the needs of Production, Quality, and other departments to gather business requirements.
·Lead process flow discussions and translate existing system functionality so that the MES could be understood by technical/non-technical individuals.
·Document business requirements, process flows and new functionality requests
·Develop and maintain active subject matter experts to improve system utilization and provide continual improvement opportunities.
·Performs user management and system administration functions in MES, PDM and other Manufacturing Systems.
·Monitors application for readiness, availability, and performance trend analysis.
·Works closely with the IT infrastructure team to develop, prototype, standardize and roll-out MES related infrastructure components.
·Manage projects related to MES & Manufacturing Systems upgrades, functionality implementations, etc.
·Responsible for the maintenance and support of all MES / Manufacturing Systems platforms including Production, QA and others as requiredQualifications (Education, Experience and/or Certification)
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (MS and/or MBA Preferred)
3+ years of engineering management / leadership experience and proven track record leading technical personnel
10+ years experience in a manufacturing environment
Preferred candidates will have 5+ years providing Server, Network and Manufacturing Execution System (MES) support in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with PDM, SCADA system and SAP is desired
Candidate will have working knowledge of Windows & Linux OS, SQL, Oracle DB, IIS-based application servers and data center operations
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent verbal/written communication, interpersonal and functional team building
Advanced skills with all MS Office Products, especially Excel and PowerPoint
