Job Summary

As the Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for developing marketing plans, campaigns, and leading a variety of project initiatives for the Toughbook mobility marketing team.  You will focus primarily on the following verticals: Public Sector, including Law Enforcement and Public Safety, as well as the Enterprise vertical, including Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Transportation and Logistics, Field Service, Automotive, and Utilities.  In collaboration with the mobility team, you will develop the market objectives and strategies, such as market research, brand and product management, advertising and sales promotion, tradeshow messaging and content development.  You will also focus on a wide range of project management and marketing and sales support activities to support the mobility marketing team, working with finance, procurement, legal, and the marketing creative services, events, and media team. 

WHAT YOU WILL GET TO DO

  • Manage marketing plans to drive engagement, awareness, and sales to support the Panasonic Connect Enterprise and Law Enforcement verticals, Including but not limited to Police, Fire, EMS, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Transportation and Logistics, Field Service, Automotive, and Utilities.  
  • Apply best practices in marketing and advertising to develop effective marketing communications.
  • Create impactful media messaging, product collateral and other sales materials in collaboration with marketing, sales, and 3rd party agencies.
  • Oversee and evaluate market research and adjust marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions.
  • Guide preparation of marketing activity reports and present to management.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop targeted industry specific messages.
  • Develop and execute on messaging for the vertical solutions strategy, identifying new ways to approach the market and expand existing contacts and engagements in this industry.
  • Serve as an internal advocate for customer needs; ensuring broad awareness of, and empathy for, customer pain points.
  • Create compelling sales and marketing content to drive engagement, e.g. case studies, thought leadership content, videos, ad creative.
  • Develop creative briefs for new marketing assets and partner with copywriting, design, and video teams to oversee reviews, approval, and execution.
  • Manage implementation of the Enterprise and Law Enforcement media plans with the media planner
  • Support go to market vertical messaging for new products.
  • Manage the execution of sponsorships, memberships, and events for the Public Sector and Enterprise Teams.
  • Evaluate the ROI and budget for the show or sponsorship and provide the messaging and content.
  • Work with the events team, digital marketing, web, product and agencies teams to ensure our messaging and positioning is align with our brand strategy.
  • Create and coordinate messaging and materials, e.g. collateral, product case, display, graphics.
  • Coordinate booth attendees and schedule.
  • Manage the conference on site as needed.
  • Provide regular updates to the marketing leadership team.
  • Track the marketing budget that supports all marketing operating expense related to marketing plan development Help onboard vendors, ensure payment to vendors, and work closely with procurement and finance teams.
  • Coordinate and interface with the PANASONIC CONNECT brand management group, primary agencies, and optimization teams to ensure strong and appropriate Panasonic Connect branding and take advantage of co op cost efficiencies.  Includes communication of PANASONIC CONNECT’s marketing vision, goals and objectives in a large corporate environment

 Education and Experience

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:      

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or related field required, MBA preferred

5 to 7 yrs. of B2B marketing and content development experience with a proven track record of delivering business results.

Thorough knowledge of marketing concepts and best practices, as well as project management skills. 

Experience in solution marketing to enterprise or public vertical markets and, or enterprise hardware, electronics, technology.

  • Effective and professional speaker at including press events, tradeshows, partners events, and internal meetings. 
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to work independently and communicate with all levels of an organization.
  • Solid prioritization and organizational skills with the ability to make decisions and resolve issues while working under pressure.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Effective written and spoken English communication skills with all levels of an organization

  • 20 percent travel
What We Offer:
The salary range of $75,000-$90,000 is just one component of Panasonic Connect's total 
package. Actual compensation varies depending on the individual’s knowledge, skills, and
experience. This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives.
