The position:

Oversee all aspects of the Supply Chain Management in regards to Purchasing and Planning ensuring on time delivery, quality of product, and cost for assigned business segment. Provide leadership in developing and implementing initiatives, and ongoing staff development.

Procurement
  • Oversee team in the sourcing, negotiating, and planning of existing and new products within assigned business segment.
  • Oversee procurement and planning process and adjust or modify as needed.
  • Guide major procurement/planning decision making.
Material Planning
  • Develop, maintain and execute a material plan to support near and long term goal achievement. 
  • Develop, review and implement new procedures to achieve cost and time savings.
  • Ensure materials are ordered and released on time including any unplanned engineering revisions/changes.
  • Ensure inventory values are at appropriate levels, obsolete items are transferred or scrapped, cancelled program and/or program push-out of materials are auctioned.
Supervisory
  • Hire, train, appraise and develop direct staff.
What we're looking for:
  • Ability to negotiate terms.
  • Understanding of system Materials Resource Planning (MRP). Oracle based preferred.
  • Ability to comply with ethical business conduct requirements and protect company confidentiality
  • Demonstrated advanced problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to continuously improve operations, decrease turnaround times, and streamline work processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills at all levels with ability to present to executive decision makers.
  • Involved in developing, modifying and executing company policies that affect immediate operations and may also have company-wide effect.
  • Works on issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives.
  • Proficient in MS Office software applications.
  • Professional Certification (ex. CPM…) desired.
  • 8 years of procurement and/ or material planning experience
  • 3 years Staff management experience.
  • American Production Inventory Control Society( APICS) certification preferred.
  • Experience in IFE or avionics preferred.
  • International and domestic travel required, up to 10 percent.
