Major Responsibilities

Infrastructure Development and Efficiency Optimization

  • In-depth involvement in ongoing business system improvement initiatives to include:
  • Development of process documentation, system requirements, project implementations and new database report development.
  • Establishes project cost estimates and work plans while ensuring timely completion within budget constraints and changing requirements.
  • Coordinate with Service Performance Managers, Application, Network and Ground Operations teams and senior management to establish standard approaches to revenue contract language and Purchase Order collection.

Project and Staff Management

  • Project and organizational cost management responsibility.
  • Manage direct report and/or project team members to achieve objectives.
  • Manage Continues Improvement projects:
    • Manage department product/ process Quality and Corrective and Preventive Actions as required.
  • Contribute to ongoing cost management activities:
  • Coordinate and negotiate with service subcontract vendors to establish optimal outsource solutions. Enhance opportunities to achieve program/project objectives by analyzing and negotiating mutually acceptable process and agreements.
  • Leads coordination efforts and activities to achieve improvements in processes, projects, and goals.
  • Manage reviewing, evaluating, and optimizing operational expenses while maintaining achievement of department goals and objectives.
Knowledge/Skill Requirements
  • Ability to manage budget/cost control issues and in-depth knowledge of finance, inventory and service operations preferred.
  • Having a wide-ranging experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication including ability to synthesize large amounts of data for executive decision makers.
  • Possess strong cross organizational leadership skills to achieve positive results.
  • Proficiency in mainstream PC desktop applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Project) plus demonstrated competency in data mining and database reporting.
  • Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. 
  • Uses independent judgment to ensure projects/assignments are completed accurately and on-time and may be tasked with ensuring work of others is completed in a timely manner.
  • Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
  • Ability to articulate and resolve delegated problems with minimal help.
Education/Experience Requirements
  • 4 year college degree required with emphasis in business or information technology, or an additional 3 years’ of related experience may be substituted for non-business/information technology majors. (8 total years).
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a business process oversight role.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience with advanced data system use and database report development.
  • 5 years’ experience in the aerospace, aviation, technical airline operations, IFE or related industry experience preferred.
  • 5 years’ experience in Software Application Development environment is preferred.
  • 5 year’s customer experience is required.
  • 3 years’ experience in software infrastructure planning and development.
Other Requirements
  • May require domestic and/or international travel to company, customer and vendor sites.
