YOUR MISSION: 

 

Responsible for oversight of the Credit and Collections function which includes, but is not limited to, the development and improvement of the operational goals of the department, staffing, training, and development of staff. Leads, develops and manages staff who are responsible for conducting collections of accounts receivables, charge back deductions, reviewing and analyzing the customer credit limits and the financial risk of the customers.

 

A DAY IN THE LIFE: 

 

  • Maintains oversight for credit department receivables staff, prioritizes workload and provides direction to meet daily, weekly and monthly deadlines, objectives to include timely collection/resolution of invoices and invalid deductions.
  • Ensures full compliance with PASA policies and procedures, internal controls and SOX regulations, operating within the guidelines suggested by PNA.
  • Performs financial reviews and analysis making recommendations to approve or decline a credit requests.
  • Oversees the analysis of financial statements, credit reports, credit reference information for the purpose of establishing or maintaining credit limits and mitigating potential risk situations.
  • Communicates and addresses critical issues timely with team members and Credit Management.
  • Develops alternative and cost effective methods of security to protect company assets as an important part of credit recommendations.
  • Reviews and monitors delinquent accounts, past due items, chargebacks and cash payment discrepancies. Works to resolve open matters with staff and customer contacts when necessary to evaluate and resolve outstanding billings.
  • Reviews and coordinates master data related issues or discrepancies with the Sr. Credit Analyst to maintain appropriate credit lines, approved payment terms and other data as necessary.
  • Establishes and maintains excellent cross-functional relationships with customers, Sales, Customer Care, Business Ops, Accounting, Service and Quality teams to assist with the collection of unpaid invoices and resolution of aged discrepancies or outstanding AR issues.
  • Drives necessary actions of the team to meet budgeted collection ratios for the company on a monthly basis.
  • Prepares and reviews documentation, submits and follows AR factoring program processes through to repayment confirmation with banking partners.
  • Calculates daily and monthly cash forecasts and communicates to Accounting to ensure cash flow targets and expectations are met.
  • Interprets, enforces (complies) and makes recommendations for improvement to Company policies, procedures, and regulations to include those processes and policies involving Accounts Receivables (AR) Trade Insurance and Receivable Purchasing Agreements – Factoring.

 

MUST-HAVES: 

 

  • Four-Year Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field required.
  • Six (6) years of related experience in credit or accounting required, with a minimum of two (2) years be in supervision/management.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand the order backlog report by using such tools and information such as aged trial balance, evaluate chargebacks, and understands customer statements required
  • Complete understanding of Order to Cash Cycle required
  • Systems Applications and Products (Glovia, CCore, Cognos & SAP) experience or similar software preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with the computer applications appropriate to the position and the assignment.
  • Strong ability to manage collections and managerial functions including planning, forecasting, directing, and maintaining, positive control of Accounts Receivable.
